Had nothing to do with PPV-based fights, which was what the clowns in business suits at PBC had in mind.
And so they invested huge money overpaying Wilder, spent millions on promotions.
In the end, Showtime realized it didn't make sense and rejected the Ortiz 2 fight.
It's comical, if you think about it. Shirley Winkel is probably now realizing.
    You summed this up perfectly.

I linked to the podcast - starts at 11:27...it should be timestamped but it might be buggy.

I'll say this. It was a painful podcast to listen to.

These guys say they're supposed to make the guests see things from a different angle and challenge their beliefs a bit, which Wilder desperately needs. NONE of that happened. It was a couple of fanboys doing what fanboys do, and Wilder preaching.

Has he made up that $100 million guaranteed he turned down yet?

Let's be honest and real here now; how many of you have ever seen anyone great flop all over the ring in there peak years as a fighter? I'm just saying this kid delusional if he thinks he's close to being great. I'm not knocking your accomplishments over a bunch of weak or older opposition but from where I stand you at your size couldn't hold Rocky Marciano jock strap! Keeping it real.com, I think you need a trainer where you not the boss and can't control and one whom will walk at the 1st sign of disrespect, that can teach you basic's which you have yet to learn, God rest my late trainers soul but your ass would stay in the mirror and on the floor going up and down until you had it right before you boxed anyone in the gym. That simple MF'er period.

Crazy the amount of comments on here bashing, even wishing bad things in Wilder. I use to enjoy coming on here and talk boxing with other diehard fans. Now, it's no different from social media, where people can hide behind a keyboard and say things you'd NEVERRR say to a fighter's face.

Anyways, Wishing the best for Wilder. Hope he comes back soon. I still believe no ther HW other than Fury can beat him.

That's not to say he'd beat Wilder but he may pose some challenges to a fighter who can be outboxed, coming off his first defeat (via beatdown stoppage no less) and have vulnerable confidence.

Perhaps a Kownacki, Dinu or even a Trevor Bryan?
Dinu or Bryan for sure would be good choices too. Dinu is fighting Daniel Dubois in his next fight June 5. Dinu is the WBA #2 HW somehow...

I hear you. I prefer actual discourse than the fanatical hatred or worship that you see alot on the internet. I don't get the camps and cliques, especially when they are formed around something other than a fighter (promotion, content provider, etc).

I'm ambivalent to Wilder. He's a flawed fighter with incredible power and athleticism. Not a fan of his diatribes and conspiracies but he is exciting to watch fight. I hope he can get his mental state right and make another run. There are plenty of fighters I'd love to see him matched up with.

I won't fault him if he takes on a couple soft touches before a bigger fight, he has been inactive for a while and was soundly beaten by Fury so who knows how he'll look in return

"I'm going to continue showing my greatness.... In ret3rdation, lying, cowardice, delusions, projections etc etc .."

I wonder why this site cut off Donkey's full quote?

                      Oh well.

                      Haha.
