This is the headliner for a PPV? Shouldn’t have to pay to see this. Don’t get me wrong, Arreola is usually in fun matches, but for this?
Once upon a time, PPV was reserved for MUST SEE, big time fights. Maybe I’m missing something?Comment

We all know Ruiz isn't in shape. We've heard this bull sht before. He's gonna come in at 265 to 270 and be a fat ass just like his fat kid.Comment

Honestly man it's never too late - sometimes I just like to see the fighter reach his best form, even if it takes him the whole damn career to get there. Second chances, redemption, you know all the boxing themed stuff that sound cheezy but that is what it's really all about
Arreola's last fight with Kownacki was probably one of his best efforts even though it was a loss. He was in shape, he fought hard and was competitive, a real war that may have taken years off Kownacki who lost his next fight.
Aside from it being PPV - I want to see this fight because they two are somehow linked being the rare Mexican/Mexican-American HW - it should be a war and give Arreola a nice way to bow out gracefully, with beer and taco in hand.Comment

Ruiz is higher class fighter.
Arreola found his level when Vitali beat his ass badly. He was always only a gatekeeper. It is funny he got 3 world title shots, actually.
But I enjoyed his fight with Kownacki. Funny action packed fight, but these guys are not world championship material.Comment

I know a lot of boxing fans blamed Cristobal Arreola's disappointing career on a lack of discipline. However, the truth is he was never shit and was never going to be shit anyway. The only thing he was good for was ass whoopings. He fought in one of the worst and weakest heavyweight eras in history and still couldn't add a single major alphabet soup title to his name.Comment
