Triller's got money because they short others.

Label accuses social startup of "shamefully" holding back payments for rights.

Triller is being a disruptor in the boxing space.

Did I say that right, is that the proper business school jargon?

lol. I see a lot of Haymonite PBC kids happy for Triller yet they swore against DAZN because it housed ODH (“the racist email grup”) against Haymon and wanted its downfall. Now these same kids are happy to say it will be successful and moving traction because it has Oscar and potentially GBP. These same idiots said “apps don’t work.”

let me fill you in on how business works you clowns!

First, Triller is nowhere near the app power technology nor has the capital like DAZN. They are a niche “sporting app” SPECIFICALLY for exhibition celebrity matchups from various markets, music, YouTube, etc. Their niche are spectacle matchups that are intriguing to casuals, not purist sports fans. Of course Oscar wants to hint at Triller for his funny fallout with DAZN. DAZN wouldn’t host an ODH fight return.

DAZN started this YouTube vs YouTuber type culture as a bonus for a niche. However, the problem with Triller is its cost or the investment guarantees they would give fighters. Anything Triller would want to do DAZN could easily copy and do a sub brand, but DAZN are committed to real sports.

again, the Haymonite theorists need to lay off the flaming hot Cheetos and codeine sprite drinks.

Lopez showed you can be a boxer, have the right people behind or around you, who aren’t using you for their own business interests. Hence why his next fight would be for more money, on a different platform and why he was able to know that his own promoter was trying to sabotage his purse bid.
Hopefully, the days of top fighters being tied up in long term contracts with promoters and networks will soon be over. They can go wherever the best fights and the biggest paydays are to be found at any given time. That has got to be good for the fans and the sport as a whole, not just for the fighters themselves.

Triller really has managed to throw a monkey wrench in the boxing world. They’re definitely gonna shake things up if they manage to get someone like Pac, Canelo, Floyd etc. for an event. Like someone else said, they’re attracting casuals and the youth to boxing

In the context of boxing, how exactly would you define a foreign goal?

Triller, bringing you the best exhibition and youtuber fights ever. Hopefully, they'll make big fights, not the ridiculous Lopez-Kambosos bout.

Excited to see what Triller does here. They certainly are spending big right now and want to get in the combat sports field.
This is still a PPV service, is it not?

No, it's a streaming service. I believe it costs $5 dollars a month.

Long term promotional contracts are a cancer no doubt, but IMO it's the network exclusive deals that have killed the sport more. Would be fine with numerous promotions if the networks took everything to purse bid and the highest offer hosts the fight.
