    Should be an interesting matchup.
That's how I looked at it too. Joe fought nine rounds with a broken jaw against Barerra, while at the same time Vlasov has knocked out a few cruisers, I don't see Joe getting dropped.

What in gods name has Zurdo ever done? He's fighting no namers now karpency? alanso?

He's inactive and I thought he lost the fight againt vslov, he also looked like trash against 50 year old arthur abraham.

Joe smith is LEVELS above zurdo right now kiddo

This fight almost seems to be too good to be true for Joe so yea I'm getting the same vibe. I do feel like Joe has been working on weaknesses & Maxim had covid which hasn't been doing many fighter favors in competitive fights lately so logically I think Joe is gonna get this one. Maxim ain't no b^tch doe & he's gonna push back. I expect a clear Joe decision, 8-4ish I'd guess. Maybe some shot on a mid to late stoppage if Maxim is on some Povetkin sh^t or got old, but idk that I'd bet on it.

You're upset, I get it, but let's not act like Maxim Vlasov (who is a level below Zurdo Ramirez) doesn't have the chance to pull off the upset here. It's boxing man, anything can happen between these top 5-10 fighters. It's what makes this fight so intriguing. This is more of a fight to see where Joe is at in his career. I remember a couple fights ago while I was watching Smith battle his way to a split decision against Jesse Hart (a fighter Zurdo Ramirez dominated twice) and thinking man this just isnt going to cut it at the top of the division but then he went on to have a great performance against Alvarez and I'm thinking wow this kid is looking like a top dog again. So yeah I'm hoping he shines tonight. It'll definitely set up something bigger against someone like Ramirez or another top guy in the division.

I can see that. Vlasov has never been dropped has he? could be a long night for the construction worker. Hopefully he does the ring walk in a hard hat

Yeah, to me, it wouldn't be that big of an upset, Vlasov has loads of experience, high level boxing, long dude with power at 175. Smith is only a very slight favorite for me

A healthy Vlasov with fair judging I think wins this quite comfortably. The thing is, is he healthy and will they give him a fair shake? Its no secret they want Smith vs Beterbiev next.
