Calzahge never did and never will fight him, so I can say that Glen would KO him in the first round, but I think it might look like how Johnson and Dawson went in terms of closeness.

I can see this fight being a bit like the Dawson/Johnson fight with Calzaghe winning, by outworking Johnson to get a UD. Calzaghe really did have unfinished business with Johnson and really should of fought him before he retired.

Pretty easy fight stylistically for Joe IMO, Johnson isn't a counter puncher he likes to move forward and throw lots of punches. Joe would have the better workrate and Joe thrives against fighters that come to him and engage. He's the better boxer and inside fighter, Johnson fight catch him a few times but I don't think he'd cause Joe too many problems, Joe outworks and outfights him to a UD.

I think a PRIME Eubank, Hopkins, McCallum cause him the most problems tbh.

like he thrived against bika? wasn't he cliching for dear life the entire fight when bika came after him. bika was someone who didn't care about getting hit with a couple slaps to land his own shots and look how calzaghe crumbled. and glen johnson is even better and tougher than bika.

Bika is a different fighter to Johnson, he swings for the fences and abandons his jab. He's also a dirty fighter (in that fight anyway) he was cut by an headbutt in that fight and Joe was never hurt both fighters were clinching.

It was an ugly fight but Calzaghe hardly crumbled it was in no way a close fight just an ugly one... Johnson doesn't clinch isn't known as a dirty fighter which is what Hopkins often did to disrupt Joe's rhythm Johnson smothers you with punchers much like Joe does but Joe is faster and throws a higher level of punches. It's one of those fights where Joe and Johnson have similar attributes but Joe has better of those similar attributes (other than Power ofcourse)

He would because he'd put a lot of pressure on Calzaghe, I don't think he's fought a pressure figher of the caliber of Johnson but I'd pick Calzaghe to win.

Prime Calzaghe would easily beat Johnson, by a wide UD. As somebody said before, Calzaghe thrives against fighters who come towards him, and Johnson fits that description. His combo's, and angles would confuse Johnson, and he would lose badly. The only chance Johnson would have is a lucky punch, but Calzaghe has a solid chin, and has only been knocked down a few times in his entire career. And the only time he has been legitimately hurt was against Byron Mitchell.

Let's be honest, Calzaghe hasn't lost a fight in his whole career. He isn't going to lose to a guy who has 12 defeats. Come on now, Johnson hasn't been robbed in all those fights.

it was very close. calzaghe got busted up with clean punches all fight especially in the later rounds where mr. stamina is supposed to be great and "adapt" to find a way to win. it just looked like he was holding bika to keep him from murdering him. im guessing glen johnson would do the same to him. how does calzaghe do well against people who come at him? lacy? who else? no one good thats for sure.
