    not really.

jones and hopkins never ducked joe. there never were even any negotiations.

joe ducked johnson by pulling out of the fights w/ bull**** injuries. even frank warren exposed joe as a dude with no confidence. warren said he basically had to pull joe into the ring kicking and screaming to fight some dude.

I know the story about Hop pulling out of the Calzaghe fight in 02. But I never heard anything about a Jones fight. The only person I hear that Jones should have fought was Dariuz Michalizki (sorry about the spelling)

Glen Johnson is a nightmare for anyone.
I'd favor Joe, but I wouldn't be surprised if Glen beat Joe.

It would've been a hell of a match up. I know that. I think Johnson has aged worse than Calzaghe because of his aggressive style so I don't know how competitive the fight would be now. I know Roy Jones was damaged at the time Johnson knocked him out, but Johnson was a beast in that fight who never stopped coming forward and throwing punches. Even though I mentioned earlier in the thread that Johnson has aged quite a bit since then I know Joe does not have the hunger to be on top like he was now that he is retired. He has put on some weight.

That's exactly it , Frank said this straight after Joe left him. Pullcounter is probably the dumbest poster on this board.
