throw in 7-8 up and comers with less than 3 losses on there records billed at the next big thing, the fact is the only three major fighters Calzaghe didn't fight are Johnson, Ottke and Echols.
Johnson Vs Calzaghe is much discussed, Echols pulled out through injury and then lost to Mundine and Ottke wasn't interested.Comment

Johnson would have been massacred. His pressure fighting would have him walking on to everything Calzaghe threw, negating Joe's biggest weakness - his power. Johnson would have been faced with a faster, more skilful, southpaw, Johnson.
And anyone bringing up the Roy Jones fight as an example of how difficult it is to keep Johnson off you needs to remember that Jones was the most gun-shy he had ever been in his career. There was one nine minute stretch during the fight where Jones landed seven punches. That's less than one punch a minute for three whole rounds.Comment

and you need foot movement against him
calzaghe is good at avoiding punches and shizz, but his feet are usually stuck to the ground when he's moving his head
i see johnson punchin his head in and getting robbed in the endComment
