Canelo was not primed at 54 yet he hit his absolute peak 160-68.

H2H, Cotto doesn’t fare that well against Canelo who is naturally bigger. Cotto peaked at 147 while Canelo was barely getting started at that weight.

Prime Canelo would knock him the *** out and maybe even make him quit like he did against Margarito.

My boy Margarito is his daddy lol.

Do you watch boxing? go look at his performances at 54 they were good to ok nothing spectacular but once he stopped killing himself to make 54 and moved up to 60 and 68 he became a lot more dominant that's fact hence=primed.

I wonder sometimes how many of you guys actually know what your watching.

I know they both fought at middleweight but I think:

-Prime Cotto at 154 beats Canelo by UD.

-Prime Canelo at 160 would prove to be too much physically, his run was short but middleweight Canelo was the best version of himself.

-He didn't apply the stipulations he did mostly throughout his career.

-His defense was the most polished version

-His power was on par with GGG

              -He threw 3-4 punch combinations.

-Whenever he got winded, he recover quickly.

-He moved up at 168 and beat Rocky Fielding, knocking him out in three rounds. Same guy who beat John Ryder by split decision.

-He cut down to 160 to fight and beat a prime Daniel Jacobs.

-He had a controversial draw and win over GGG who likely prove too much for Cotto.

(Very competitive performance, reason why I think Benavidez would likely win against the current version of Canelo)

He then climbed up two divisions to fight Kovalev.

(Though to be fair Kovalev was 36 and went through grueling back-to-back training camps for TWO World champions in Anthony Yarde and Eleider Alvarez)

I actually have Prime Canelo at middleweight. He moved better and his stamina seemed to be best at that weight.

At Super his power is a level above, so I get it.

23 years old and he was killing himself to make 154. He was rehydrating ~ 20 pounds. That isn't a prime weight.

You asked prime. He was unstoppable at 140. It was like watching 22 year old Mike Tyson.

Cotto while a fine fighter never got the prime Canelo he got him right when he was finding his weight. Still Canelo beat him comfortablly .

Absolute best versions Canelo stops prime Cotto.

Canelo fought Cotto when Cotto was 36...past prime and "shop worn..." It was still a close fight.
