Cloud is still relatively untested, but he has shown he has skill and power too. We'll see.

I think Dawson is slowly giving a blueprint as to how to beat him. Definitly volume punches. Cloud could win with controlled pressure. I think Dawsons first loss will be by KO and probably in a fight hes winning.

Yes Cloud is a true test and hopefully Dawson fights him and Pascal next. Chad is my favorite up and comer. I just don't see a fight with Hop anytime soon along with Jones. Plus the SMW tourney winner won't be in announced in probably 2 years. Dawson needs to get all 3 belts back. Then hopefully pray to have Erdie come to the states for that lineal title, lol.

Yes Cloud is a true test. Pressure, volume in punches, and power. Chad can't get lazy in there and stop using his jab and body work. I also seen Cloud was getting hit with uppercuts last night. Chad throws those pretty well also

There has been plenty of threads about this subject, and I've given my input on them. I think Cloud would be a very live challenger to Chad. You can't go off of Tarver's performance over Woods and say that Cloud did not beat him as convincingly, and therefore that exposes him. Tarver did beat Woods more decisively, but threre are certain reasons why. If I remember right, didn't Woods have someone in his family die and he was dealing with other distractions outside of the ring? Another thing to take into consideration is that the reason why Cloud got hit more against Woods than Tarver did, is because he had to take some punches to get inside because he is shorter. And if anybody thinks Tarver can beat Cloud does not know how to analyze fights. Tarver's punches have no power on them anymore what so ever.

As far as a fight between Cloud and Dawson goes Chad would have to box a perfect fight to win because Cloud brings more power and Dawson's chin is suspect. And I wonder what would happen to Dawson if he took one of those long breaks in rounds that he is very notorious for.

He wouldn't have to box perfect because unlike Woods Dawson has a better defense and a better offense. Cloud won't be able to hit Dawson like he did against Woods. As for imo on the match, Dawson boxes Cloud's ears off.

When you say that Chad has a better offense, what do you base that off of? I admit he is a versatile fighter with a good punch arsenal. But the thing that he is lacking is the ability to fight three minutes of every round. That is something that Cloud has and he is not a one-trick pony himself. He mixes up his punches really well. And I think Chad's defense is a little bit better too. But it's not like he is a Bernard Hopkins or Floyd Mayweather in that department either. He gets hit plenty. The question is would Cloud be able to get inside on him to do it and would Chad keep him at bay and use the things that work to his favor?

I don't think so. A tough fight to some extent (on the level of Glen Johnson), but not enough to topple his streak.

Chad has the tendency to be lazy with his defense at time and he gets in trouble for it. Happened against Adamek and Johnson. Someone like Cloud who keeps throwing and coming is BOUND to land a bomb on someone like Dawson leaves opening here and there.

We should demand this bout next! And then the winner can take on the super8 168 winner!
