UFC n mma offically overtakes boxing

With bellator the 2nd most popular mma organization expanding in the uk the ufc def running the combat scene after mayweather in the usa. Now that the ufc has Ngannou as the heavyweight champ a freak of nature ko artist with great story n late bloomer whos highly marketable n got jon jones n derick lewis fun big $ fights add in the masdival mcgregor porier israels of the game n depth, is it fair to say boxing is now offically 2nd tier combat sport outside canelo boxing has no1 to do numbers n does a very shhhh job marketing added with the politics . Aj n fury r big uk euro guys but dont do a million in usa or hell close wilder spense outsold by amanda nunes crawford does well everyone outsells him thats a benchmark honestly for truthfully ryan garcia could do crawford numbers but its a loss of $.

It does not matter where boxing ranks in popularity, what matters is whether YOU like it or not. I personally enjoy boxing much more than MMA, but I enjoy some MMA now and them. Their respective ranking in the cultural zeitgeist has no bearing on my enjoyment of the given sport.

Fury vs Joshua will generate 680 million dollars in 2 fights. thats as much money as the ****ing UFC generates in an entire year. **** the UFC, Boxing is still and will always be bigger. Who the hell is ngannou? Champ in a sport full of D level athletes, in which some random dude that started combat sports at 30 can ko the greatest ufc hw champ ever hahahahahah

Thought UFC "Swallowed" boxing 15 years ago? Took this long to finally overtake it?

UFC has been ahead of boxing in the US for years. Boxing is still bigger world wide.

boxing is divided. too many differences and agendas at play destroying it. too many POSs in boxing.

otherwise boxing is far more stacked full of talent and personalities than mma. it's just those promoters, journos and fake media personalities who always lie, making boxing just not worth the aggro.
at least the UFC is one big club and the mma fanbase embraces it all.

just look at this forum. how many threads are posted to attack a boxer?
every day there are threads mocking or hating on an elite boxer.

if i go on a ufc forum, will they be doing the same there?
will i find people mocking/dismissing tony ferguson as a bum because of his losses?

Well Boxing is fkked but we all know it. America is the Mecca of the sport but it is strangling itself over there with all the best fighters being complete chickens who want to avoid risks to protect their financial worth as PPV stars then expect ppl to pay 80 Dollars for a mismatch with turd undercards which sell less than 300k and then try to claim that's great numbers.

Especially when aged ex pros can pop back and sell over a million proving the market would still be there if the current crop would grow some balls and take on the big challenges which is all the paying public really want. Who wants to pay 80 bucks for a sure thing knowing that the win doesn't actually prove anything or make a statement.

Yes ofcourse Boxing has been overtaken by MMA where the best are constantly matched with the best.

Boxing is a resilient sport that withstood the test of time and will remain for a long time. If you like the ufc so much, the door is right there and don't let it hit you on your butt on your way out------->

UFC and MMA orgs actually give their fans the fights they want immediately. Can’t say the same for boxing.
