I agree, if this starts to catch on with other super fights it will help its own marketability and not to mention revenue. Speaking of which, fighters get a piece (as do promoters of course) of the revenue from pay-per view watchers in addition to what they make at the gates live at the fight, I wonder if this movie theater stint would be included for them as well.

Pacman has been doing this since his 2nd fight with Morales back in 05. He keeps all the monies that came from the movie theaters showing his fights. That's one of the first things he ask for before signing his contract with Top Rank. The tickets are pricey too, specially by Third World standards, it's between $10 to $20, depending on the movie venue.

Picking a natural 126-130 pounder who only had 2 fights at 135 to go up for a welterweight fight is cherry picking, while a 130 pounder picking a lightweight, who also had fights at jr. welter is called what on your book?

handpicked. just because he faced a heavier fighter doesnt automatically mean it was the best at that weight class,there is such a thing as moving up in weight while picking the crappeir guys at that weight class, cotto isnt the best welter we all know that,if mannys #1 pnd for pnd why not face the other #1s pnd for pnd williams or mosley?????? or even jmm cuz many dont feel manny won either fight, people shouldnt be blinded, very tactical picks for fights , biggest name least risk is what it is.its been done before pac and will be done since we know who is who.
