It's ****ing frustrating. I was talking to my friend, and he told me that boxing isn't a sport. He said that all they do is give these two guys gloves and have them try to beat each other up. He also said that it took no skill. I was pretty pissed. I just left, and didn't even bother arguing. I wasn't gonna waste my time. His argument was rooted in complete ignorance.

You should have punched him once in the face and tell him he needs skill to block or avoid that.

This is exactly what I was thinking or he should have asked his friend to punch him with a right then counter punch with with a right hook to the head then say, "always cover your head when you're attacking"

Not only is boxing a sport but it is THE SPORT.
You must be in incredible shape, have heart, be agile, quick, use the mind.
Other sports you stand with a team, Boxing you stand alone.
Other sports there are scapegoats (even though they try it sometimes) its all on the fighter.
Other sports they have padding and even clothing and hats or helmets.
Boxing your shirtless, no pads, in shorts.
It is the hardest spot ...period.
Even in UFC which I do respect. They can grab you, flip you, choke you, elbow or knee you, Boxing only two fists and an occasional Head butt.(when the ref is not looking)..lol
