Did you ever try arguing with someone who knows nothing about boxing?

It's ****ing frustrating. I was talking to my friend, and he told me that boxing isn't a sport. He said that all they do is give these two guys gloves and have them try to beat each other up. He also said that it took no skill. I was pretty pissed. I just left, and didn't even bother arguing. I wasn't gonna waste my time. His argument was rooted in complete ignorance.

you should bring your friend to your local gym and show him the type of skill that is needed in boxing. put him in the ring for 2 rounds and i guarantee he will have a new respect for this sport

Exactly. I called him later that night, and I told him that me and him were gonna box the next day, and he'll see how much of a sport it is and how much skill it takes to do. I went to his house the next day, and he didn't want any of it, haha. It was pretty funny. Except he kept talking **** about it, so I just ignored him.
