I don’t see how when chocolatito beat him once and probably beat him again at the weekend, And this is a version of chocolatito that many people were considering to be faded from what he used to be.

    So, no.

still an excellent fighter though, no shame in not being considered quite as great as Chocolatito

I don't agree that Estrada ranks above Chocolatito.

Chocolatito had titles at 105 and 108 with wins over Niida, Hirales, Takayama and Estrada before moving to Flyweight. At Flyweight be beat Lineal Champ Akira Yaegashi by KO in a great fight. He defended it 4 times with wins over Sosa, Viloria and Arroyo.

And at 115lbs he took Cuadras's 0, then should have edged out SSR in their first fight imo, got stopped badly in the rematch and came back from knee surgery to KO prime undefeated title-holder Kal Yafai not losing a second of that fight, and then beat Gonzalez who is top-10 ranked right now, and then in my opinion should have beat Estrada 7-5.

Estrada lost to Sanchez Jr and had to rebuild. He got KO revenge. He then lost to a prime undefeated Chocolatito in a great fight in which he made a lot of fans. He had an excellent run as unified title-holder at 112lbs though and I would have loved to see them fight at that weight for most of the belts.

At 115lbs he edged out Cuadras, lost to SSR then won a rematch (to become lineal champ at 115) in which SSR got his gameplay wrong, stopped Cuadras and then benefited from a decision against Choco (not a robbery, but for me Choco won by 2+ points).

I think if Estrada beats SSR again and then Choco move convincingly then he's the best Super-Fly of this era. Choco is one of the best sub-118 fighters ever. Perhaps only Finito Lopez and Jimmy Wilde are the others in the conversation with him.

Ioka, Nietes, Ancajas will all want to upset the apple-cart too.

I think Chocolatito should rank higher.

Those should still be loses tho regardless of the second fights. You either think unofficial loses should be counted a against a boxer or you don’t, you can’t pick and chose when it suits you.

Not when there are corrupt judges like Carlos Sucre scoring the fight. It wasn't a fairly judge fight period. Yes the record says he lost, but no true fan of the sport thinks Estrada actually won.

Make no mistake, THE reason Estrada won is because one corrupt judge saw something that absolutely no-one else in the world did and gave Estrada 9 rounds. Including 9, 10, 11, and 12. NOBODY and I do mean NOBODY with a brain thinks Estrada won the 12th. This reeks of corruption and you have to throw away his scorecard.

Sans that wide card from that judge Estrada won a close fight. That’s what’s fact and that’s what’s official. Estrada is the superior boxer and greater than Choco and Inoue, and definitely greater than Rigo. These are just facts..

You're entitled to judge greatness based off of "official cards" even if they do reek of corruption and are wrong. That's your right. Just like it's my right to tell you what I saw happen that night, which is also what the overwhelming majority of boxing fans saw. That Gonzalez was the better man. It may be a fact that Estrada officially is 1-1, but it's also a fact that almost all credible boxing experts and fans say that Gonzalez won.

You're just mad because everything you say about the superfly division is wrong and I disproved you each time.

Been one of my favorites for awhile so I'm Bias but yeah he is ONE OF for sure but "THE BEST" is always debatable

In the 1st fight with Gonzalez, I thought if he would stick with his excellent timing and Counter Punching and Box he beats Gonzalez rather comfortably but he can't help but get into those exchanges/brawl in which Gonzalez is just better at. If they run it back for the Trilogy he needs to BOX, Counter Gonzalez set traps for him and catch him which he was doing early in this most recent fight. Sure the Brawling made for a fun fight absolutely BUT it is time to go for the SURE WIN for the Trilogy.
