Fury smashed Wilder but Wilder was there for the taking with sloppy technique and no fundamentals. Wilder also clearly fell into the age-old trap of falling in love with his power. The fact that he was saying “I only need to be perfect for one second” in the buildup says it all to me. I don’t think breaking Joshua down is going to be so easy.

Fury should get the win due to Joshua’a leaky gas tank. I see him fighting Joshua like he fought Wladimir and wait until AJ tires for his moment to attack. He won’t be charging at Joshua from the first bell. He only did that against Wilder because he learned that Wilder can’t fight backing up in round 12 of their first fight.

I would be surprised to see either guy get an early stoppage but other than that no result would surprise me
Absolutely agree with the text I've put in bold above. I've said here before, much has been made of SugarHill getting Fury to fight in the Kronk style, but I see the way he fought the rematch more as a continuation of what happened in the 12th round of the first fight. I think it's highly unlikely he goes in guns blazing in the first round against Joshua -- that would be a short cut to getting knocked out.

I also agree that Joshua's weak spot is his gas tank, though he has been improving in this area. The smart fight for Fury is an ugly grappling, leaning fight for 8 or 9 rounds and then try to stop Joshua once he's exhausted.

How that gas tank holds up will depend to a large degree on the pace of the fight. This is why I don't agree with those saying Joshua should go in looking for an early stoppage -- if he doesn't get it, it leaves him vulnerable himself to a late stoppage. I think Joshua will like a tactical, long range battle. Joshua has the range and accuracy to do damage from the outside, while this allows him to pace himself.

Oh, and as for Foreman. I love George, he is a legend, but I don't put too much stock in his comments here. There are several paths to victory for Joshua.

I think there is a big difference between those that have followed Fury through his career and those that only got excited by the Wilder fights.

Fury needs to ignore the hype and stick to his boxing (no showboating) and then he can do this anything else Joshua will walk through him.
This is still 50/50 for me.
I'm pulling for Fury and think he'll win but you make a good point and that is styles make fights. This should be an exciting fight to see.

I honestly see easy work here. Tyson is just to fluid for a guy like AJ who fights so tense. Tyson is just to big, to fluid, and to good. Why a 2 fight deal u ask? 2 beating and and 2 good pay days. Easy work Tyson Fury.

He starts FAST, he does not get caught up in a Boxing match or a jabbing contest with Fury. He starts fast, double jab, body-hunting, closing the distance quick. I am not sure if AJ has the ability to fight off of Fury's chest, but that's the range he needs this fight to be at. Cannot let it be fought at a distance or it's Fury's fight. Start fast and do not let Fury settle into a rhythm. Fury isn't going to tire unless he's forced to fight at a pace he isn't comfortable at. AJ needs speed and strength, he has both. He needs to make the fight play out to his strengths, try to negate Fury's advantages, and there's a lot of them. The smartest one would be hunting the body from the start, slow Fury down in the later rounds, take the steam out of him. If AJ tries to play chess he will be chasing shadows all night.
Here we go guys, the nice comments are starting up for Joshua.

I stated months ago, the closer this fights comes 'Fury fans will ether 1: Start saying nice things about Joshua. 2: Or they will try their upmost best to defame is character and ability inside the ring.

Most the Fury fans on this site are completely spooked.

Me personally I think Tyson Fury will fight Joshua exactly how he fought Wilder, because that is who Kronk Fury is now. This old Riddler bamboozling style that most people think Fur is going to employ, was a bi-product of Peter Fury's training 'Tyson Fury is 270+ pounds, and wants to train and fight a certain way now'

Tyson Fury is still the favourite for me.

Fury beat one punch wonder Wilder and now he's the HW boogeyman? Joshua lost to fat boy Ruiz and now, he's a robotic scrub? I'm not sure either is true. I don't know how this fight will turn out, but I sure can't wait to see it!

That's a well thought out analysis.
I've been thinking that AJ needs to make it a war, but you're right, if Fury survives that early war, he will be in the driving seat to take a decision. I don't see Fury stopping AJ in a million years.

As the body builder fight's so rarely everything is a mando & title shot. Add Pov 38, Takem 38, Klitschko 41 & only age beat Klitschko that night & you don't see a pattern emerging? Parker not alowed to hit back & Ruiz.
All these fighter's are so old or limited Aj has the time to do almost as he wants. Stop giving credit where it isn't due. Name 1 top fighter Pulev has ever beaten? Or or Povetkin when he wasnt juiced.
pulev beat hughie, chisora so he's not bad. Josh beat ruiz and pulev. So Josh is very good.
