I don't want to ruin anyone's excitement but I don't think we should get our hopes up until there's an agreed date, venue and an official press conference has been held. At this stage, it's good news that both sided have signed and things seem to be moving in the right direction but this isn't a done deal just yet.
You can kind of see why Warren is not pleased by, people announcing the fight then.

We have only really seen Tyson Fury speak, and he was not so keen on fighting Joshua next.

You would think the site and date would be sorted out first.

Usually fights are announced straight away with a date a venue.

That should of been sorted out first.

With Eddie saying all this. I highly doubt the fight is signed.

I agree, nothing should be officially announced until everything has been agreed. This fight will probably get made but Hearn would look a little ridiculous if the deal falls through due to the things that have not yet been agreed. Some are saying Hearn is right to have made this announcement but they'll definitely change their tune if it doesn't happen because they can't agree on the site fee for example - then everyone will be saying, they shouldn't have announced it until that was agreed.

We got a similar announcement last June: both parties have agreed to a two fight deal but we haven't figured out the dates and venues yet. This isn't that much different, both guys signing is good news but like last June, they still need to agree to the date, venue and site fee. It's good that things are progressing but there's still things things that need to be done before the fight is officially made.

Basically, months ago the deal process was laid out and they were supposed to have "signed" weeks ago on that timetable.

Someone aksed Eddie have you signed and he said yes .. end story.

So 6 months ago they agreed the split, yesterday they agreed the promotion rights and TV which was complicated (see Arums explanation).

They have 30 days to agree the site, this process was supposed to start now but given the time constraints Eddie started earlier in parallel. He wanted an agreed fight to sell before going to the Saudis etc.

In 30 days AJ or Fury could optionally pull out IF there is no agreeable site/ site fee, they don't have to pull out at 30 they just can.

          Seems pretty simple.

If Eddie had replied no one has signed the fight was effectively off.

Fish eyes is irrelevant. He'll be lucky to get ringside tickets.

Hearn , Arum and Warren will always try to get one over on each other ,that's the game. These greedy bastards can't contain themselves with their ridiculous two fight payday and talking it up like it's the 'thriller in Manila' it's a decent fight for these sparse times but get real! Ali wasn't dropped by Cummings and Frazier wasn't hammered by Ruiz!

Maybe Hearn put it out there to sway public opinion to AJ side and put more pressure on Fury based on his recent public comments?

I'll believe it when I see it. If Tyson Fury said he stopped training and doesn't know about the fight being signed two days ago then why would I believe it was signed yesterday? Why is it taking so long to iron out the details when they originally agreed to a two fight deal last June?

More interested in principles speaking than co-promoters anyway.
