Does Anthony Joshua need a big win in the USA?

He is 0-1 over there as a Pro. Walked to the ring like Jeff Jarrett, and got battered by a little, fat Mexican in his only outing over there. Who knows why that was? Jetlag? Roadman bidness? Who knows.

I find it even more interesting that Tyson Fury has made his home in good ol' US of A, and openly said he will never fight in the UK ever again... In the ideal world there is no doubt that Eddie Hearn would love the Fury-AJ fight to happen in the heart of London.

Why not Fury-AJ in Las Vegas? Why not AJ-Wilder in Atlantic City?

Simple answer is no. Only Americans have this view.

that said, I suspect he will want to come over to america again. Hopefully fury is next in Vegas but all the vibes are from fury that he wants to duck Joshua for the moment, time will tell.

I would still love AJ to fight Ortiz, Miller & Hunter who are all potentially good matchups to have in america (particularly latter two)

    edit: obviously wilder too!

This is starting to get as annoying than the pbf Pac stuff.

Boxing is really losing my interest lately, just get the fights made damn it.

AJ-Ortiz in Miami would be epic! Those are the sort of fights that consolidate a legacy in the ATG rankings, imo.

If they hadn't spent a year talking about how they were going to take over America and kill PPV only to strut out to the ring and quit against a someone who looks like they crush a twelve pack each night after a long day of brick laying.

I'd still like to see Joshua vs Wilder.

I think Fury will beat AJ and retire, so why not Joshua vs Deontay to establish the new #1? Usyk can keep his paper belt.

Joshua v Wilder was always the best fight out of the three best fighters.

It really should have been for undisputed. Boxing lost out with those shenanigans.

Fury v Joshua will be compelling, but I doubt it will be explosive.

Agree, fury will be ducking and weaving because we all know that’s the way to win. Trying to do what he did in the second wilder fight against someone who can box and has power doesn’t make any sense at all. It will be a hugely anticipated fight but it a hard to see it being a fight to watch over and again.

Yep, because it IS a KO fight, whether it had happened in America or the UK. I love the Fury/AJ fight because its TWO brit and undisputed but the AJ-Wilder fight was at the right peak and that dosser ducked the fight to cherrypick Fury who was coming off his couch.

AJ was subject to way stricter drug testing in the US when he fought ruiz. He was given exemptions in other countries including his own home country. I would like to see him perform in the US with stricter drug testing procedures in place.
