I’d say “Mandingo Thief vs Brick Top” on street beefs 1974 rare edition is even better

Man, that's a good question. I'm not old enough to have experienced Buster Douglas' upset win over Tyson, but I would imagine that was more significant than Tarver's win over Jones.

Well Buster robbed Tyson Because of a bs ref,he should've been kod but for that sorry ass ref if I recall... Tarver koing Jones was huge Because Tarver was a way more skilled version of Wilder(a 1 dimensional 1 trick pony who exposed Jones bigtime)

Jones was a better fighter than Tyson but Tarver was a far better fighter than Douglas. Douglas beating Tyson is definitely the better win when you put it into context.

You think Tarver was one dimensional? That’s a bit harsh man. He was a little left hand happy but the guy had skills. I don’t really see the Wilder comparison.

I said hes way more skilled than Wilder, but his 1 trick was that he had Jones number because of his power, take Jones out of the equation & hed be remembered as someone who was never truly elite? (He even lost to ancient Glen Johnson right after he kod Jones. )

I'm not saying he doesn't have skills, I'm saying that just like Wilder he wasn't skillful enough to beat the very best besides Jones,& he didn't have a great career aside from Jones fights(compared to the best)

A 40-1 underdog is all we need to know about that fight. It's James Buster Douglas hands down and it's not even close.

The "ancient" Glen Johnson who beat Tarver (By SD) had just beat Clinton Woods for the IBF Championship and brutally KO'd RJJ in his two fights before that though.
