You are so short sighted and not really making a good argument!
if Whyte wins in a few weeks he’s mandatory for the WBC, it’s a long route for Parker to get a title shot
argument done!Comment

How does someone become mandatory after a 1 win, winning streak?
Whyte the coward already turned a shot at fighting for world titles, last yearComment

No I’m not mate, look it up! If he wins he is next in line for a shot!
But Pov wasn’t when he won due to previous ranked position etc however if he wins again he would be
mate you’re getting so angry and frustrated you’ve forgot your point!! Parker vs Whytes relevance!! Haha
I know you don’t like him but facts are facts! Ones fighting Chisora the other is fighting for the WBC title in the near futureComment

Well yeah, that's the point.
Joseph Parker is even lower regarded than him at this point.Comment

I've also been saying for a long time that Parker needed to make changes if he is going to regain a world title.
However, like a previous poster, who does he choose next? A lot of the all-time great trainers are gone or too-old now, and we seem to be entering an era of specialists.
I have also been saying Parker needs to up his aggression in the ring, and settle on a style - so he needs a trainer that will fit him for those purposes.
Must confess I didn't realise Barry was a former fighter. I have always admired Parkers activity and willingness to travel, so I hope that continues.
Regardless, a healthy, competitive HW division is good for boxing.Comment

Yes Kevin Barry is from a boxing family and as a kid, I remember watching him fight Holyfield in the 1984 Olympics. You're absolutely right about Parker's aggression and he also has a problem with not following the game plan which must have been frustrating for Barry. A new trainer isn't going to make a blind bit of difference if Parker continues to ignore their strategy once the bell rings.I've also been saying for a long time that Parker needed to make changes if he is going to regain a world title.

I don't think he made that much for the Joshua fight. Even Ruiz didn't make that much for the second fight and he had the belts. It does seem to have softened him up though. Hugging with Junior Fa most of the fight will not help his drawing power. Even though he is only about 30 he just fights like a 40 year old fighter that is not desperate to win.Correct me if I am wrong but he got nearly 18 million for the Joshua fight. Add in the money for Takam, Ruiz, Whyte, Fa, hughie & Cojanu he made well over 20 million by the time he was 29. He has a wife & 3 kids. It doesn’t sound like he was an idiot with his money. How much motivation does he really have left? He can still make more money but I think his killer instinct was gone after the Joshua payday. Can’t really fault him for that. He has made a lot of money. He wants to stay closer to home. To me it doesn’t really matter who trains him. I think he will never be able to recapture the drive to get to the top. I think it is all downhill from here. Physically looks & feels great but is he still in it all the way mentally? I don’t think so...
