I've also been saying for a long time that Parker needed to make changes if he is going to regain a world title.
However, like a previous poster, who does he choose next? A lot of the all-time great trainers are gone or too-old now, and we seem to be entering an era of specialists.
I have also been saying Parker needs to up his aggression in the ring, and settle on a style - so he needs a trainer that will fit him for those purposes.
Must confess I didn't realise Barry was a former fighter. I have always admired Parkers activity and willingness to travel, so I hope that continues.
Regardless, a healthy, competitive HW division is good for boxing.Comment

Correct me if I am wrong but he got nearly 18 million for the Joshua fight. Add in the money for Takam, Ruiz, Whyte, Fa, hughie & Cojanu he made well over 20 million by the time he was 29. He has a wife & 3 kids. It doesn’t sound like he was an idiot with his money. How much motivation does he really have left? He can still make more money but I think his killer instinct was gone after the Joshua payday. Can’t really fault him for that. He has made a lot of money. He wants to stay closer to home. To me it doesn’t really matter who trains him. I think he will never be able to recapture the drive to get to the top. I think it is all downhill from here. Physically looks & feels great but is he still in it all the way mentally? I don’t think so...
