Joseph Parker remains on the hunt for a second heavyweight title reign. That journey will come a with a new trainer along for the ride. Kevin and Joseph, keeping it classy as always.

It's just something about us Aotearoans and the Pasifikan values we hold dear.

Health, family, honour, respect, integrity, patience, humility, gratitude.

We're too awesome for words so let's just leave it at...

Finally, smart thing to do. Really about time. I have been saying this for a while and am glad he took this option.

Nice. Nice! Two classy gentlemen right there.

Take note, Kovalev/Jackson and Golovkin/Sanchez. I would kinda say Wilder/Breland also, but we know who started that shit.

This isn’t exactly going to fix the problem, if Parker stays in NZ he’ll still stay the same if not get worse . Needs to get in a camp with the best trainers at this point and have better access to better sparring partners.,training in NZ won’t cut it not at this stage , Should give the U.K a try at least ,he’d get the right people around him if he doesn’t want the States .

Pay for a top trainer to come to NZ. They'd love it and probably never want to leave.

Just look at what Izzy Adesanya has done from training here.

Staying in Aotearoa got Parker a world title. Fighting overseas got him jobbed by mealy mouthed weasels.

Keep it real, keep it local, build for the future of others here in Godzone.

Correct me if I am wrong but he got nearly 18 million for the Joshua fight. Add in the money for Takam, Ruiz, Whyte, Fa, hughie & Cojanu he made well over 20 million by the time he was 29. He has a wife & 3 kids. It doesn’t sound like he was an idiot with his money. How much motivation does he really have left? He can still make more money but I think his killer instinct was gone after the Joshua payday. Can’t really fault him for that. He has made a lot of money. He wants to stay closer to home. To me it doesn’t really matter who trains him. I think he will never be able to recapture the drive to get to the top. I think it is all downhill from here. Physically looks & feels great but is he still in it all the way mentally? I don’t think so...

This has needed to happen for a while now, his gameplan and execution in fights has stagnated and there seems to be no "plan B" or adjustment as the fight unfolds. It could be Barry, could be Parker or could be the chemistry between the two.

There are plenty of proven and established trainers out there but he just needs some fresh ideas and approach. I'm sure alot of people wondered how Ben Davison or Sugar Hill Steward could help with Fury but each brought something to the table when they were called upon.
