Pretty pathetic from all these keyboard warriors talking sh** from their momma's basement....
BJS best win is over David Lemieux...lmfao.

      BJS has the WBO belt.

That is enough justification for Canelo to go after him.

the easy belt I was referring to was the wbc belt that was just thrown into the mix. Smith was the wba champion and the wbc just decided to allow them to make that a fight for their vacant title belt despite canelo accomplishing nothing relevant at that weight. But since you wanna bring it up, who did smith beat in that tournament that we should have considered him elite?? Biggest win was against groves who was past his best and best known for getting knocked out cold in front of 1 billion people at wembley against Froch. Didn’t he also get worked over by Ryder in his very last fight? As far a keyboard warrior, there’s none of that here. I’ve boxed competitively and have sparred with multiple amateurs and pros. So if you’re a fat fook who lives at home with mommy and have never boxed, then worry about assessing yourself and stop making assumptions about others that you don’t know jack s*** about because I’m pretty sure I’d fuuckkk you up and make more money than you.

I blame Benevidez for this nonsense. He’s the man, or should be, at 168.

Benavidez is taylor made for Canelo. A large framed come forward fighter who has shown poor discipline and has a suspect resume whose few flashy combos lead the internet to think he's the best at SMW. SMW is an unproven division where none of the top guys fought each other or have proven class. I would guess Plant or Saunders to be the best in that division? Maybe Bek the bully?

Completely agree, he's also the only two division belt holder at SMW and has by far the best resume in the division as an olympian with wins over Eubank, Lee, and Lemiuex.

For a guy who never elected to take on any mandatory in his entire career, this was the one he finally felt compelled to face?
Easy belt!? He was ranked 1 by Ring magazine had a stay busy mandatory, is going to fight for another championship in 3 months then close the year against another champion in a unification.

I’m beginning to wonder if all the Canelo haters secretly want him to bend them over, paint t I t t ies on their backs, sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and ginger across their a s s e s and go to town? The celebrity chasing infatuation for someone never met would be laughable if not clinical.

The only thing tailor made about Benavidez for Canelo is that he is at the rail so far as weight is concerned. Definitely he would not respond well to any further weight restrictions. Working well behind a jab and coming forward is the exact opposite of tailor made for Canelo.

I just read this comment after typing my first. You’re “that guy” that tells his buddies his High School football glory at the bar then cries about missing college because of “injury” and how the pros were knocking. AKA Al Bundy. If you’re arguing on the internet about “beating up this and that, and money” with people you don’t know you have your own set of issues.

Admit it, you cast shade on an accomplished pro to feel better about your failed attempts. It’s ok if you did, we’d understand.

Benevidez while skilled is also poor in many areas. His footwork is sub par, he lunges in with shots, leaves his body open and loops his power shots. Canelo is an elite counter puncher, masterful at body shots and footwork and out jabs taller fighters. Benevidez is also much slower than Canelo. Canelo could easily turn Benevidez all night.
