Respect your opinion, but BJS fades against average opponents who dont touch his body all that often. He is going to gas vs Canelo big time and get beaten up in the second half when his feet start to slow down. I would give BJS a better shot if he had elite level stamina, but you just cant fade and hold your feet vs Canelo.

looked bad vs Coceres, got clipped and started to fade Vs Isufi, faded Vs Monroe, gased Vs Akavov, gassed vs Eubanks Jr.. He is just living off his Lemieux performance who stumbles around with his uncoordinated feet.

BJS is a guy who fights to the level of his opposition. Which is gonna be an advantage for a fight with Canelo not a disadvantage. Most of the fights you mentioned were bs fights for him & for better or worse he doesn't get up for those types of fights. He's kinda like Tyson Fury in that way who you usually see him at his best vs his best opponents & at his worst against ho hum opposition. I don't condone that type of outlook, but I can see how you could get into that mindset when boxing requires so much of you.

And the Eubank fight was his first real fight you could argue & I think he coasted more than he gassed. He knew he was winning & did enough to get the win while not putting too much at risk. That W was massively important to making a name for himself in boxing.

Let the record show that chinny amir khan,liam smith,and the corpse of angulo all lasted longer than this dude. You can't justify these fights or these performances. How anyone could call this guy a challenger worthy of a title shot is beyond me.

Canelo will probably have 3 fights this year, whereas most top fighters are only fighting twice. I have no problem with a guy clearing a mando against a no hoper and giving everyone an extra fight. JCC did it all the time, would rather have a fight like this and give the fans something, then just doing nothing.

I'll believe that Saunders is committed to the fight when i see him enter the ring. Until then, I expect him to pull out with an injury. He's not a mega-fight fighter.

Yes, I acquiesce that he is a talented boxer and the match-up warrants some excitement, but Saunders has always been a one belt champion, no matter the reward.

However, If the purse is big enough, I suppose anyone would get in the ring for the right sum so we'll see.
