Ruiz is the former Unified Heavyweight champion, having defeated AJ to win the WBA Super, IBF, WBO, and IBO titles in 2019. Ruiz became the first male boxer of Mexican heritage to become a world heavyweight champion. I was so hype no one gave him a chance in hell. I was so disappointed to see him lose in a rematch with Joshua six months later. Undisciplined f^u^c^k. You had the world at your feet.

Sorry but Chris Arreola is definitely not a PPV.

Arreola ? Let's face it, this guy is shot and has been for a long time. You want to be motivated in a return. Ruiz hits extremely hard, Arreola gets hit extremely often. Not a good matchup at all. Criminal in fact.

PBC doesn’t have money. That’s why a lot
of their fights have been PPV during the pandemic because Haymon tells his fighters they can’t earn what is to be expected, so the fighters gamble on their own star power and promotion.

Arreola? Haymon is acting dumb. He knows Arreola doesn’t have a fan base. Both Arreola and Rui would have to agree to act the part in selling this fight out of character, then perhaps the LA fan base would instigate a cholo attraction. That could actually work. Then Haymon just needs a proper co-main that involving a least one gravitating black fighter vs another or a Mexican; in the lower weights of course. Then this event could probably do 110K to simply fulfill the fighters, nothing more. That’s only if it’s promoted correctly.

the other option is for Haymon to do his usual Mexican vs Black. For the buck, maybe Haymon can persuade King for so quick change with Ruiz vs Stiverne. Cost effective and proceed with the full card. I said a while ago, Ruiz vs Kownacki would do good ratings. But the gate and location would still be a problem.

I expect Andy to be in great shape with Reynoso.
Should be a good scrap while it lasts

Is this like passing the torch or some ****? Chris was never that good and now he's old.

Ruiz could come in a fat slob like he did in the second AJ fight and still beat Arreola. Arreola is the definition of washed up... not that he was really any good to begin with either.

PPV for THIS fight? No way. If it was against someone like Wilder, then sure.

This has to be a misprint or something. Unless it is part of another big card?

Anyways, ready for this fight to take place already. Want to see Ruiz even in decent shape this time around.
