Fact of the matter is that if this fight flopped that would be a disaster for the sport. And that's what matters above any petty rivalry between fans.

I expect this fight to do between 500-600K which I think would be fine. I expect Pac/Cotto to do between 800-900K which would also be fine.

      How is that so?

the ratings had more to do with the fact it was the show after summerslam.

I didnt see it but I heard he got booed when he came out. I think thats probably why the ratings were so high because the wrestling fans hate him because of the big show thing last year. Thats kind of funny that they hate him so much but they ALL tuned in to watch.

So WWE has only had 3 big shows by what you are saying. Two of their three biggest nights were right before Wrestlemania and it was only 4.1. Mayweather doing 3.93 is pretty big, get your **** straight.

What do you mean bad for the sport? Boxing fans are going to buy what they buy.

Casual fans may or may not flock to a main event, but a lot of them got burned on Mayweather-DLH. Limited, bad undercard, snoozer main event.

The sport will be fine in Mayweather's absence. I'd rather the casual fan watch a fight that will actually have some action...

Exactly. If the show was built around PBF, it wouldn't have started with Vince McMahon coming to the ring, promising a Cena-Orton return match, and then a birthday video with Vince & DX.

they would have had Mayweather in front of the camera before 9:20 if he was bringing in the ratings
