This fight is plain and simple. Cotto is going to have to go for the KO in the early rounds. If this fight goes the distance then you better believe Pacman is going to run circles around Cotto and utlimately get the decision. This is a make or break fight for Cotto. For Pacman it's just another fight that can solidify his place in the boxing hall of fame even more.

What they mean when they are gonna expose Cotto is that when some of the fights go in the late rounds Cotto looks like he is mentally breaking down. He took a knee once and their is a perception that when the going gets tough he will quit. Cotto is very hittable cause his leaky defense and looks beatable. The Clottey fight proved that he will fight thru adversity also Clottey stopped fighting cause with that peek a boo defense he was getting hit on his arms and didn't want anymore. Cotto still fired shots even when he looked so vulnerable

without the cut, Cotto would have won a UD over Clottey.

To Pac's credit he is more willing to face a fighter that he might lose to. It is clear that they see Cotto more beatable of the top WWs(also Cotto's size). Mayweather was the obvious choice but he signed to fight Marquez.

Roach stated that Manny won't sit there and trade with Cotto as he knows that if Manny does it he will more than likely lose the fight. This is the exact way I see the fight playing out, Manny loves to fight plain and simple, the guy is a warrior. He started doing it the entire second round against Hatton and I think Cotto will be able to draw Manny in and fight him as well. All it really takes is one solid punch, Manny throws his hands in the air and for the rest of the night its on.

Still Manny is going to have to avoid that jab in order to get his rhythm down. My only thought is that Manny is going to have to constantly move to his left to avoid Cotto's jab, but Manny 90% of the time moves to his right which is right into Cotto's wheelhouse. Also when Manny puts a lot of power into that left he lowers himself right into that Cotto left. This is what makes this fight so interesting to me, both guys are essentially mirrors of each other in style, stance and tactics its going to be a great fight.

You hit it on the head, unless one or another feels that the other guy hits to hard more than likely its gonna be a tactical engagement. This has action written all over it

c'mon man.... roach obviously means cotto's boxing has deteriorated... my guess is it started when the rift between cotto and evangelista began.

Well isn't that how you beat Cotto? By making him fight going backwards? If Roach's plan is to let Manny circle around and fight off his back foot, they're going to have a rude awakening. That is exactly the way Cotto likes it.
We have a winner, you're right.

Either way, like I have said mayweather, Mosley and Cotto will all beat Pac. Pac is great but over rated at this point.
