I think that Cotto will never improve as a boxer. Jermaine Taylor is a good example of a guy that has not improved unless you want to make a case that he did in the rematch with Pavlik. He did not want to listen to anything that Emanuel Steward told him and Cotto would be even harder to train, because he does not want Steward's expertise and help in the first place.

This fight is plain and simple. Cotto is going to have to go for the KO in the early rounds. If this fight goes the distance then you better believe Pacman is going to run circles around Cotto and utlimately get the decision. This is a make or break fight for Cotto. For Pacman it's just another fight that can solidify his place in the boxing hall of fame even more.

Most of us filipinos, don't think that PACQUIAO is invinsible, we just think that he has improve so much, after the last MARQUEZ fight, and seems to adapt to his opponents style. I for one don't think that COTTO is a shot fighter like what alot of people here are saying, but i do think that COTTO's chin is not as strong as DLH. Margarito's hard punches was on the top of Cotto's head or a low as his upper lip, but believe me when PACQUIAO get's a chance to throw that right hook flush on Cotto's chin, he will definetly go down. Now with Cotto, if he is in shape to go all out for 12 rds and consistenly hits PACQUIAO with bodyshots, there is no doubt that he might be able to wear PACQUAIO out. I just don't see PACQUIAO standing in front of COTTO long enough to take solid punches in the body. Another thing that i want to add about PACQUIAO adapting, if you look at his fight with DIAZ AND DLH, PACQUIAO was under control with his movement and his punches didn't look too amateur, now with his fight with HATTON, who likes to rough fighters from the inside, you can see PACQUIAO somewhat out of control, but was effective.

COTTO is gonna be hard but not impossible. I believe that PAUL WILLIAMS is the only fighter that would post the biggest problem against PACQUIAO. That fight would never happen, because of WILLIAMS too much size advantage and height. When PACQUIAO does fight MAYWEATHER, i will still stand and say that PACQUIAO is gonna have a hardtime, but it will not be impossible for him to defeat MAYWEATHER. I do believe that the only way PACQUIAO beats MAYWEATHER is by a KO. Mayweather on the other hand will only beat PACQUIAO by a decision. MAYWEATHER for as much as he talks about massacring a fighter, i have never seen MAYWEATHER destroyed an elite fighter as brutal or devastating as PACQUIAO have. For Mayweather to KO PACQUIAO he has to get out of his defensive shell, cause PACQUIAO moves too much. If Mayweather tries and be more offensive against PACQUIAO he will be expose and get KO.

Mayweather is a boxer first. He does adjusts in his fight better than JMM. His stamina is excellent and he does start pressuring late in the fight. Like Whitaker he is view as a boxer but they are fighters and will box aggressively. Their defensive ability tend to make fans think they are runners but they are not. Personally I don't like Floyd but I see all the ability he is blessed with. To bad he has really never put his ability to a real test and take more risks.
