When it comes down to the very big fights(world title bouts) it seems like England losses more than they win. USA produces the most because they produce the most fighters but for the most part USA is and will always be the most dominate country in the sport of boxing.

it would be overshadowed by a big cycling, rowing, now darts & snooker event?

              phil taylor
raimond barnavelt (cant be bothered looking up the spelling buts something like that)
              bobby george
              stephen hendry
              ronnie o'sullivan
              mathew stevens
              marc williams

all 5x at least more famous than froch or haye.

darts and snooker are big here, on tv all the feckin time. try and get that into your head. just cos they arent popular in the US doesnt mean they arent here
                baseball
                american football
                basketball

no-one here watches these sports, but we understand they are big in the US, more popular than boxing. i think they are all boring (well american football highlights are ok to watch, but a live match bores the **** out of me).

its not that hard to understand.

You're a youngster, British gave this guy more respect in the 90s then they did Lewis, and they supported him more. No question about it. What is there that I don't know? Yu guys produce a never ending supply of hypejobs, and give more support to Hatton then legitimate great fighters like Calzaghe and Lewis.

                      again - personality, not ability.
also british like the story of a guy struggling to get to the top, more than the story of a guy who gets to the top and stays there. no idea why though.
