      my argument is;

if david haye fought one of the klitscko brothers or if amir khan fought manny pacquiao or carl froch fought bernard hopkins....

it would be overshadowed by a big cycling, rowing, now darts & snooker event?

Bruno got all that support because he tried so many times to win a title and eventually did.

Did you not see what the atmosphere was like?

Hatton over Calzaghe because Hatton has the bigger fan base. Why don't you think Calzaghe ever got his own band?

Amir Khan is the biggest hype job over in UK

I dont think people understand the meaning of a hype-job? Its when none boxing fans only know a few fighters such as Ali, Tyson and then they'll mention Khan because hes hyped as he is the P4P #1. Some people actually go around saying Khan is the best fighter in the world...

Over here in america I think Jeff lacy has to be the biggest hype job EVER

i didnt, was saying that u didnt hear an argument saying we thought boxing was more popular in the states than those sports. went onto a bit of a tangent saying i thought they were boring.
was making a point that u have your own sports that are more popular than boxing, and we have ours. we accept basketball etc are more popular, and u cant accept that darts and snooker are here.

              Yeah.

              Haye - who?
Khan - Oh, the young kid.
              Froch - who?

Khan just has a bad chin. He is rather skilled.

Did you really just say that? Or is it sarcasm?

haye v the klits would be on sky box office, so they would plug the **** out of it. adds everywhere. And the final of the world snooker would still get more viewers. (free tv)
there is as close to 0 talk in sports tv stations and papers about the SMW tourny as u can get. Froch v hopkins does about 20% of haye v a klit. froch is unknown still. the name might be slightly familiar, but few randoms on the street could put a name to a face.

Honestly, I get Sky Sports News here in the states and the only time I've ever seen them doing anything on boxing or mentioning it, was when Hatton had a fight. Other than that, it is just on the bottom of the screen scrolling by.

Almost the entire segment is dedicated to the EPL/the football league, rugby, cricket, F1, then darts, and finally snooker.

When you think about, Froch is in arguably the biggest boxing even of the year, and no one has signed on to broadcast his fights yet....
