sure dude sure. anyone that's been a fan that long would immediately recognize the difference in fighting styles and mentalities with fighters 10-15 years ago to the fighters of today. that is the reason boxing has taken a huge hit. Don't sit here and try to talk like your brain is full of boxing knowledge when it's obviously not. If you were a fan back then you would know why boxing became so huge back then and you would also know why it is no longer what it used to be. I think the problem with boxing. How to say. In all sports it's natural that you have a team you support. With sports like football, Basket ball, hockey, soccer etc. the team you support play on a regular basis so you can actually view them enough and learn about the sport in the process.

In boxing, if you're a fan of a fighter over the sport. More than likely you're only going to be watching their fights. Problem is fighters tend to fight 3 fights a year in some cases that's not nearly enough to know enough about the sport especially in boxing when there are so many varying styles.
