Is Juan Diaz a washed up fighter?

I'm not saying that Juan Diaz is completely washed up. But there were a lot of suds flying out of that ring last night.
Juan is at the point where Vargas was going into the Delahoya fight. the next beating he takes will end his career.Comment

yeah hes a great fighter to watch for sure.
what i love about juan diaz is that he throws punches in combinations and never stops the one gripe i have with him is that he throws arm punches and that might explain the lack of pop.
i think at 130 his power would be more of a factor in fights.Comment

It probably does explain some of it, but even when he puts something behind it it looks like it should hurt his opponent way more than it does. With that body he looks like he should be able to make 130 but IDK.yeah hes a great fighter to watch for sure.

like I said: contender/gatekeeper.
diaz is a collector. he will probably collect more belts, but against the elite he will always fail (ie. contender) and anyone who beats him can be considered elite (ie. gatekeeper) .Comment

Soooo, you are saying that he is the lightweight version of Rocky Juarez.Comment

Well when youve had the best p4p boxers using you as a punch bag, it aint going to do you too much good is it?
I bet hes seen better days. Might not be past it but needs a break perhaps.Comment

I think you guys don't give Paulie enough credit.
I know he has looked really bad in the recent past but
it's been mostly due to the hand injuries.
a two handed malignaggi is a good fighter, watch the miguel cotto
fight and you'll find out.Comment
