A GOOD MINUTE? Cotto was out the whole round.
yeah poor RJJ, but if I am not mistaken I think the punch landed @ about 1:30 into the fight

i think the weight loss may have affected him, he looked so bad at the weigh in, i was very shocked.
Of course his chin may be bad but i don't believe it is, i think he just got caught on the button when his mentality wasn't correct.
I think he tought he could walk through Corley and it looked like he might in the 1st so out went the defense and thinking and in came the ricardo mayorga twin swinging for the fences for the KO.
He got caught being careless, i actually thought he did well not to go down cos he was OUT, his legs were ****ed, he showed good instincts to grab like that.
To me it looked like he was getting back on top in the 5th and well too, but i do think it was a bit of a premature stoppage, it did look to me like it was becoming a matter of time though and cotto wouldn't have made the same mistake as he did in the third, Corley look tired too which surprised me.
It'l be very interesting when Cotto goes in with a well known ****er, but having said that, he'l prob keep his chin embedded on his chest and look awesome again!!!!

you dont think that it was a premature stoppage? Why not?
Corley took a knee, none of the three shots fired from cotto landed when corley took the knee

u must have never been in the ring in your ****ing sad life

a shot with both fighters leverage coming in like that doesnt matter where you get hit, tard, your goin down.that was the hardest punch of the fight bc of the leverage, if cotto got smackd on the jaw he wouldve done the same thing, dont ****ing post if you dont know what you are talking about, this goes for all of you, dont post if you are a clueless ape like this guy.

Cotto's chin is very solid. Like a bunch of people stated the punch Corley caught him with was to the temple, anytime you get hit to the temple you are going to lose your equilibrium.

Kepp in mind that Cotto would likely never fight this style of fight again. He's normally a very solid defensive fighter that keeps his chin tucked almost the entire fight. He wanted top impress the home crowd by wowing them with a slugfest and it almost backfired. If Cotto keeps coming into the ring at that size, I see him being a signifcant force. Although I think Harris is a bad matchup for him. I think Cotto would be best served to fight the smaller guys, Harris is not a little 140 pounder himself.
