desperate times call for desperate measures boxings in big trouble and this would be something that fans would find interesting. I love Hopkins & Jones and i'd really love to see them fight again and that 60-40 winner takes big split would be something interesting. The promoters will want no part of this but as a fan that is sick of seeing match ups that make no sense from a boxing stand point but make money for each guy, why not a fight with two name fighters and a incentive to the winner that will force each man to actually fight to win?

Let Jones beat a real fighter before he even deserves a fight with Bernard.
This means nothing, but is an interesting bit of info. The only people to have beaten Jeff Lacy have also beat BHop. So to say Lacy means nothing may be a tad harsh.

Bhop seems negotiating seriously here, and that RJ making it for fun! Bhop might be not in the mood for fun that's why he left them. And I don't know if RJ is the one cowering here because he seems lack of seriousness on Bhop serious offer.

Agreed and Hopkins had a much more worn down version of Tarver to beat up on, a guy that was more interested in fighting Rocky than Hopkins. The johnson argument that Hopkins can make can be met with well Jones around the same time beat james Toney a p4p fighter that Hopkins refused to face at any weight. This fight is still good even today. Hopkins has been sitting for a long time now too and fighting ademak would not be as big as a Roy Jones fight and everybody knows it. Jones really has been getting alot done lately an impressive win and IMO he won that phone war today...Hop wouldn't agree to the fight and possibly hung up when Jones said he will take a winner takes all/ winner 60% fight.

Yes, because Hopkins wouldn't beat Lacy in one sided embarrassing fashion. The only man to have beaten Jermaine Taylor twice (was alot better than Lacy if I may add) was humilated and got his sould took by Hopkins.

I don't see how people can say he's washed up though. I would like to see the rematch.

Much more worn down wtf are you talking about? Tarver was at the pinacle of his career and was coming off two huge wins over Jones a second time, and the 2005 fighter of the year in Glenn Johnson. Why wont you give the man credit?

Also Toney was at cruiserweight when Hopkins was undisputed, and soon went up to HW, how the **** were they supposed to fight in totla different weight divisions.

I dont disagree with any of those points, but Lacy has only lost to top notch fighters so to say a win over him means **** is incorrect. He was beaten by those said fighters much worse than BHop was, but hes only being beat by fighters with the ability to beat an ATG. I dont think in any way shape or form Roy is back, but his performance was impressive nonetheless.
