This is true, but you have to realize that Golden Boy would be doing the majority of the promoting, since they would put a lot more funding into it then square ring, because they have a lot more to put into it, and know about selling mega fights. The problem is though, since Hopkins is a promoter in golden boy he would have gotten 20 of the 25 percent on the top. So it would have seen a little over 60-40 for Hopkins.

I can see where you guys are coming from as it clearly a contract that favors Hopkins as in, he chooses the judges, gloves, etc.

I can see what Bernard means though, Jones brings nothing for him except a big money fight, A win over Jones doesn't enhance his legacy at this stage and thats the fights Hopkins wants. If Hopkins was to beat Jones, which he would, Bernard would get zero credit because Jones is clearly not his best anymore.

Tbh though Golden Boy would be doing the majority of the promting, since they have waaaaaaaaay more to put into it than does square ring. Also since they would have done the majority of the promoting there would obviously be money taken off the top to be given to GBP. The problem is, Hopkins is a part owner of the company, and he does not get taxed by the company for his fights, and gets the promotional fee in his pocket while the opponent gets a percentage taken away.
