I seriously doubt Golden Boy would ever go for somethin like that.

What does that have to do with... the fact you can write a contract anyway youd like it.

yeah i DO believe he would... considering hes made this same exact offer to bhop 2 yrs ago when bernard said he would fight roy at 50-50.. and then BERNARD went back on his word...

then ROY STILL tried to save the deal by saying how about 60- winner.

LOL but you're going strictly by what Jones said. You didn't see any contract, you don't know what went down. Like I pointed out hopkins said (according to him) he was shorted a couple million at least when it was time to sign the contract. So that's two different stories on what went down neither you nor I can say what really occurred.

My point is just because Jones says something publicly doesn't mean he would actually do it (like fight for free).

BHOP said he would treat roy like the legend he IS.. and offer him a 50-50 fight.

Roy QUICKLY called GLEON after finding out, and said lets do it send the contract.

Then Roy called the next day pissed off.. because the contract says.. after GBP takes 25% off the top, THEN they will split it. THATS not 50-50.



Btalk then did a poll... and asked if the contract was fair... and 68% said... NO.


Btalk didnt hear from BHop for 5 months after that... that weas 2 years ago, IN january... go get an account and check the archives. Its there.

This is true, but you have to realize that Golden Boy would be doing the majority of the promoting, since they would put a lot more funding into it then square ring, because they have a lot more to put into it, and know about selling mega fights. The problem is though, since Hopkins is a promoter in golden boy he would have gotten 20 of the 25 percent on the top. So it would have seen a little over 60-40 for Hopkins.
