If Hopkins was to beat Jones, which he would, Bernard would get zero credit because Jones is clearly not his best anymore.

why would a natural lightheavy whose best wins come at the expense of blown up welters worry about getting credit for beating has-beens?

as shot as roy is, i think he just has nard's digits and nard knows it...

on top of that, nard's not at his best either...sure he looked great against smaller, plodding fighters, but always had problems consistently beating fighters his size with equal talent, so this ain't the shoe-in most of his people think it is..

I can see where you guys are coming from as it clearly a contract that favors Hopkins as in, he chooses the judges, gloves, etc.

I can see what Bernard means though, Jones brings nothing for him except a big money fight, A win over Jones doesn't enhance his legacy at this stage and thats the fights Hopkins wants. If Hopkins was to beat Jones, which he would, Bernard would get zero credit because Jones is clearly not his best anymore.

Personally a victory over jones should mean something to hopkins since he got beat by jones 16 years ago, Revenge is the keyword since both are in their 40s now..

bhop has no reason to fight rjj except for money, so unless rjj wants to get back to the top by beating bhop, he must accept the lower money.
