    JMM vs. Pac II

I know I am a bit late on this, but I wanted to see what the consensus was on this fight. Also, please note I am not a huge Pac fan. I like Pac and JMM about the same, both fun fighters with a good attitude. Anyway...

So, I just got around to watching the fight (shame, shame, I know.) for the first time. I always avoided it because I had already heard so much about it that I figured I had basically already seen it.

I had heard that many critics and fans believed JMM had been robbed of the decision and that JMM had beaten Pac. He was rated higher on the P4P list than Pac for a while there too, so apparently ring believed it too (for what its worth).

After watching the fight I was shocked. To me that wasn't even close. Pac clearly won a close fight. JMM did well, got shots in and looked technically sound, but Pac got the knockdown, got good shots in and looked technically sound.

In a fight where you are trading off rounds the person with the knockdown is going to win. If they had given JMM the decision that would have been a robbery, not the other way around.

Anyway, that's just my take, interested in hearing yours.

Enough with the crap, stuff is really getting old. Just bump up a recent thread on this and by the way, JMM lead the poll here on Boxingscene, so there is your answer. Please, move on now.

Woah there, man. I understand you'd hate to see a JMM vs. Pac II discussion interrupting the flow of Cotto and Pac nuthugging/bashing threads, I just figured seeing as it's been a year and a half, maybe people have a new outlook on this fight, and maybe they'd be more willing to respond to a new thread instead of a post on page 49 of a year old thread.

I'm not forcing you to read the post (which you obviously didn't) so don't come in being a jerk about it. There's a thousand other threads all basically talking about the same things, go post in there if you aren't gonna be on topic.

Or you can stay here and discuss the fight with someone who actually wants to have a legit, coherent discussion about it.

I had Pac winning. I had it even I think through 8 and then had Pac winning the 9th and 10th. Plus the knockdown that meant JMM would have had to win both the last 2 rounds AND scored a 10-8 round to get the draw, which he didn't do.

I had it about the same. I understand there's those judges who like boxers and those judges who like fighters, but I saw both fighters being pretty technical, Pac just seemed to be doing more and scoring more.

I dont understand how so many see this as a robbery and that's where this thread is aimed.

Any JMM supporters out there wanna say how they had it scored and why?

I love JMM, but those knockdowns and close calls ultimately cost him the fight.

it may seem majority of posters here had jmm winning but not true. its just that they just whine more and make multiple endless threads but a poll here before had more ppl scoring it for pac. it's ok if these ppl are really jmm fans or neutral fans, but some of these jerks are just pachaters, floyd huggers or just racist pricks.

I had JMM winning the fight. It thought Pac needed to take the last round convincingly to win it. But the officials gave the fight to Pac and I'm not complaining. I understand that it was a close fight and others have expressed that they thought Pcquiao won. I don't think that JMM was robbed. He just lost a fight that could have gone either way.

you will find JMM supporters can't score the fight or explain why. i bet 99% of this thread that say JMM won cannot clearly point out how they scored it or give a better answer than his **** was in their ass while watching the fight.
