I do. Just about everyone I know who's meet him, including myself, said he was an *******. What famous rich person doesn't do any form of philanthropy now a days anyways.
They mainly do it as a tax write off. Funny how they complain about the media not showing his supposed "other side". Well maybe because he doesn't show it?
Why don't he show it? because he don't have it and when he pretends to have it he comes off hella fake because he is.

Im sure everything mayweather has done for charities is great and all but he can still be an *******, a big one at that
exactly.. all this **** doesn't change the fact that he's an ******* and gives himself a bad image.

Perception is everything in the boxing world. Many know what Floyd has done outside of boxing but the fact that he has a bad reputation has nothing to do with the heart that he wears on his sleeve...it's the fact that the best competition is out there waiting for him and he has refused to take on those challenges that the public is demanding him to take. Yes demanding because it should have been on his own terms to have fought the top competition and instead he has given us cherry picked fight from the junior welterweight division and welterweight division. If Ellerbe wants to turn around Floyd's reputation then do so in the ring with the best fighting the best. No one says Floyd can't box...hell most of us recognize him as one of the most talented boxers in the world if not the most talented but he doesn't push the envelope while other pugilist such as, but not limited to, Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao, Paul Williams, and definitely Bernard Hopkins go beyond the call of duty to allow us to see their talent faced with adversity. This is what makes those guys set apart from Floyd. These guys fight and continue fighting regardless of how much money they have in their pockets, while Floyd in the past has made comments that he doesn't need to fight them because he knows the outcome of the fight...well hell anyone can be a champion that way without fighting.

To change the people's minds is to change Floyd's perception of him running from challenges. JMM is not the best start in the welterweight division and most will give Floyd a pass since he has been retired but the harsh critics will continue to say he is dodging the best. Any let it be clear it's not even about the fans perception but Floyd's own perception...will he look back on his career and honestly say I am the GOAT? As of right now the answer is hell no compared to Ali or Sugar Ray Robinson...hell right now most people will say Sugar Ray Leonard has faced better competition than Floyd and is more talented.

I will end it by saying Leonard Ellerbe has his public relations work cut out for him if that is his mission and it will be an incredibly steep mountain to climb.

Thank you. Shame on T.K. Stewart and the boxingscene editors for their lack of journalistic integrity. You can't call yourself a news outlet and then let Leonard Ellerbe post a 2000 word article about "The Real Floyd Mayweather". That'd be like the Wall Street Journal allowing **** Cheney to write a 4 page article about "The Real George Bush". Floyd is my favorite fighter in the ring, but this article is a load of ****, and it's obvious.

All you mo'4kers think you’re so righteous. You need to read the s!ht you write.
Floyd’s been fighting since 1996 and he’s fought many talented and tough boxers since then. You mothers need to understand that the Floyd’s days of making a name for himself are gone. He’s a made brand right now and does not need to try and prove himself to anyone. All you 4kers want is for Floyd to lose a fight. If that were to happen you’d start giving him credit.

So, you know George Bush and you also know Floyd Mayweather. You call this article a load of **** because it tells of the side of Floyd that is not allways on cameras. Don't belive everything you read or see. Most articles written about Floyd are not good. And you 4kers choose to belive that because Floyd's not your most favourite boxer. You also have the energy to imply the man can't do good. Floyd is flashy and talks a lot trash but why do you think it's not possible for him to give to the needy.

Yes, you were defending Floyd the person but not the boxer hence I say he's done making his name as a boxer. Floyd does not need to fight these fight that you guys want. He proved himself at the back then and now it's time for him to make kind of money that superathletes make.
