Pauli didn't have a close fight with Cotto, but he hung in there. Not every fight is one guy dominating another and KO'ing him. Malignaggi is a slick fighter and was able to dodge Cotto from time to time, but his jaw is a sign of who really put on the punishment in that fight.

Hey, the guy has been in the ring with top 140ers. He (more than YOU) is qualified - and entitled - to an opinion.

And while it sounds weird, at first blush, for Malignaggi to say that he is better than Hatton (esp after seeing RH soundly beat him for 11 rounds), it is quite possible.

Any of us who has ever played a sport has been beaten by a guy or a team and we walked away pissed because we KNOW we are better than that guy. I don't think Paulie is doing an Ike Quartey or Winky Wright here. Those guys have never lost a fight, in their opinion. Paulie is saying that he feels he is better than Hatton...and he is pissed at himself for losing.

I'm sure that Tiger Woods feels he is better than Y.E Yang. I'm sure that the Cleveland Cavaliers feel they are better than the Orlando Magic.
