And while it sounds weird, at first blush, for Malignaggi to say that he is better than Hatton (esp after seeing RH soundly beat him for 11 rounds), it is quite possible.

Any of us who has ever played a sport has been beaten by a guy or a team and we walked away pissed because we KNOW we are better than that guy. I don't think Paulie is doing an Ike Quartey or Winky Wright here. Those guys have never lost a fight, in their opinion. Paulie is saying that he feels he is better than Hatton...and he is pissed at himself for losing.

I'm sure that Tiger Woods feels he is better than Y.E Yang. I'm sure that the Cleveland Cavaliers feel they are better than the Orlando Magic.
sure but i take the words of the ATGs and trainers (hopkins, mayweathers, nacho) than bum like him

Malignaggi is a never was. It takes an unbelievable level of delusion to get smacked about a ring for eleven rounds and still think you are a better fighter. Hopefully Diaz ends this loudmouth's career on Saturday. Oh, and hopefully the journalist who conducted the interview still has his lips suctioned round Malignaggi's ass so he is taken out too. ******.
      Shut up.

I personally like Malignaggi. I like fighters that have dreams and don't give up. He may be a loud mouth, so what? After the whooping Cotto gave him I can't help but respect him.

Hoping that his career gets ended is extreme and disgusting. I don't think people on this site no where to draw the line wishing for his career to end is wishing for him to get seriously hurt. I don't know about the rest of you but when ever fighters meet I hope above all else that both fighters come out in good health.
      _________

On the actual fight, part of me thinks Cotto will win. Part of me thinks Pacquiao will win I find it hard to call. If it was before the Margarito fight there would be no doubt in my mind, I would go with Cotto.

Tim Smith, New York Daily News:
“Although Mosley has the kind of power to finally get Cotto’s respect, I think his (Mosley’s) speed and experience will be the key factors. Cotto is a relentless guy who walks through everyone, but he’s never met anyone with the speed, power and smarts that Mosley has.” Mosley by decision.
George Peterson, trainer and manager of welterweight contender Paul Williams:
“Mosley has much more experience and speed. Plus he’s never been hurt, except for maybe a second against Vernon Forrest, and he came back fighting. Mosley has the edge.” Mosley by decision.
John Scully, current trainer and former light heavyweight title challenger:
“I don’t think Mosley is as long in the tooth as the Cotto people hope he is or that many people believe he is. Cotto won’t be able to break down Mosley the way he did Judah. I’m going for the upset and pick Mosley to win a decision.

If I remember things correctly Hopkins had Pacquiao beating Hatton. It was seen as weird because Hatton was a golden boy fighter.

Bruce Silverglade, owner of Gleason’s Gym:
“Style-wise this is an easy fight for Mosley. I was ringside when Cotto beat Zab Judah, and he looked very tough. But Mosley is an altogether different character. I think Mosley will stop Cotto late.

                  Hector Roca, trainer:
“This is a great fight, a toss-up. Mosley is very slick and Cotto is very tough. Cotto has problems with guys who move, like Paulie Malignaggi. He wasn’t able to stop him (Malignaggi), even though he beat him. Mosley will win a decision.”
