The reason boxing is in such a turmoil is because of this system. I wasn't in favor in one organization controlling the sport, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. UFC soon will become like NFL, it will be the premiere league of the MMA world. The good thing about that is that every good fighter will want to sign with them and fans get to see all the fights they want to see. As far as payment goes, MMA starts get paid enough money to live like ****ing kings. Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture, GSP all make more than 2 million when you include sponsorships and everything. Now if they want to get paid like boxers, organizations will start popping everywhere, you will have fighters making their own orgs, there will be one important fight on the card while the rest are filled with a bunch of nobodies that no one cares to see. It will basically be the cluster**** of a system, that boxing is now. Id rather have the top guys get paid 3-4 million and have cards wheres there 3-4 great fights, then watch 2 top 10 guys fight each other every 6 months. Rant/
Will UFC fighters ever make the bank that boxers do?

lmao Brock Lesner is the ONLY example you can use and he beat top elite fighters to get his shot..in BOXING there are always some scrub ranked by an organization getting a shot at a 'title'.. talk about an ingorant statement.....you dont know ANYTHING about the UFC and how its ran..there are no BS tune ups and guys ducking each other you earn your shots...It depends, the UFC is run by one guy, in boxing there are numerous promotional companies. Dana White will only pay the guy who is the most "known" at the time the big bucks..like Tito & Chuck and now Brock....And in the UFC, "anyone" can be a TITLE Contender, they make their stars. In boxing you have to fight to become one.
Take Brock Lesnar for example, he is 5 fights into his career with the UFC and people are saying he is one of the GREATEST HW ever? Come on, 5 fights in boxing and you're still a prospect with potential.....Comment

In MMA, 15-0 is a VERY good record
in boxing, there are many 3rd tier boxers with that record early in their careers beating bums.Comment

What numbers are you talking about ?
Also, like I said...what the **** does it matter to you as a fan anyways?
******.
Besides, these greedy ass promoters and other people in boxing have been sucking the sport dry for years...and dumb morons like you wanna brag on how much ____________ is making ?
You dumb son of a *****, if you are truly a fan of the sport of boxing, you would see that these multi million dollar pay days are the exact reason for the sport being in the state that it is !
****ing idiot.Comment

Never.
UFC fighters get ripped off. The ones who are okay, dont live in the US. What they make in USD, they can take to their country, convert it and make a couple mill in their country's currency. Like converting 250k into Brazilian cheese, you got a couple mill easily. (havent checked on it but I am just sayin.)
In short, UFC fighters get ripped off period.Comment

LOL @ getting ripped off.
Where can an MMA fighter get paid more with some type of stability anywhere on earth than in the UFC ?
Of course these guys aren't making the same kind of paydays as the top level boxers!
Boxing is an established sport, not to mention the fact that almost no one is interested in investing money back into the sport's future. They'd rather have immediate profits, then long term.
This is why you see these mega paydays in boxing. Money right now.
This is the same reason why boxing is losing a lot of its potential fanbase in younger males to The UFC. They aren't willing to do anything without making a profit, which makes sense now, but isn't doing anything for the sport in the long run.Comment

Dont be dumb, ding dong. The topic isn't "Is UFC fighters getting paid crap compared to other MMA orgs?" The topic is about UFC fighters paycheck vs Boxers paycheck. The fact is, a billion dollar business and your best fighter is making only 250k(total), while a guy with only 3 fights is making 1 mill a fight. (500k to show, and 500k to win). Or an old guy gets ktfo but still makes 500k, where the guy who khtfo gets 50k becomes a champ later and only makes 75k. That is called being ripped off.LOL @ getting ripped off.

I obviously don't care because I still want to fight MMA. (I actually want to fight all combat sports and which ever one I rise up in quicker, that is the one I am choosing.)Comment
