I'm talking 15-20 years down the line by the way. If UFC continues its upward climb of popularity. Do you think it will ever be to a point where the two stars of a megafight make $5,0000,000 or $10,000,000+?

Why does it matter to a fan ?

Brock Lesnar made around 6 million for UFC 100, after his percentage of the PPV buys, and that's not including his sponsorship money.

Also, around 2% of boxers are making that kind of money in professional boxing. The rest of the fighters salaries, especially for smaller local promotions, are quite comparable.

Shut up you ****ing parakeet. Those #'s are bull**** and the numbers are not comparable. Those UFC shows are pay per view. Compare apples for apples. What's Brock **** head make compared to Wlad or Vatali? And they aren't even popular.

No it will not simply because of its structure...Its a closed organization that locks fighters in...it does not let them shop around...goes against capitalist principles...

You need competition.....in order to have that you need an open "market"...UFC does not allow for that to happen.

You guys gotta understand something, Boxing's been around for over 100 years. Do you really think the business structure is exactly the same today as it was over 100 years ago? Of course not, the sport evolved.

The UFC as a company isn't even 20 years old yet. Who's to say their model won't change with the times too? There are more MMA schools today than there were even as early as last year..why? Because of the UFC. It's like a dude going to Pro Wrestling school to be a Wrestler. You think he's going to school to wrestle for an Independent all his life? No, he's looking straight towards the WWE...just like every MMA fighter coming up is looking towards the UFC.

I just don't get all the hate towards the UFC. I can see not liking it, but when you guys start trying to throw facts to downplay the UFC's success, ya'll always end up with your foots in your mouth.

Greed is what's killed Boxing's big momentum. If a UFC fighter is making only $200,000 compared to a Boxer's $10 Million and the 200k fighter puts on a better show, you think the consumer is going to buy a PPV based on what a Boxer's purse is?

It depends, the UFC is run by one guy, in boxing there are numerous promotional companies. Dana White will only pay the guy who is the most "known" at the time the big bucks..like Tito & Chuck and now Brock....And in the UFC, "anyone" can be a TITLE Contender, they make their stars. In boxing you have to fight to become one.

Take Brock Lesnar for example, he is 5 fights into his career with the UFC and people are saying he is one of the GREATEST HW ever? Come on, 5 fights in boxing and you're still a prospect with potential.....
