Does any one on here honestly think that Hopkins can KO the Roy from now?

How the **** doesn handspeed alone beat Hopkins if you are a sitting targer. Calzaghe was slipping Roys shots, and looked like Whitaker, and Calzaghe isn't even known for great defense. Ffs Hopkins landed whenever he threw against Calzaghe, and Hopkins is one of the most accurate fighters in the world. Tarver isn't in Hopkins league when it comes to countering and ring savy, and even his skills were enough to destroy a Roy Jones that was only past prime, and not shot to **** like he is now.

hopkins is'nt a better counter puncher than tarver, maybe now, but not prime-4-prime

hopkins is'ny a lanky, slick, patient lefty neither
hopkins style is tailor made for jones

a slow fighter(not so much punches but he is'nt very much the agressor nowadays) gives jones a huge advantage

Anything is possible . Bhop could KO Roy, Roy Could KO BHOP. The ? is will he. Roy is still defensive and has a little head movement left. If he dont BHOP will tee off on Roy. Ko him? I think it will be 12rounder, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if BHOP stops him.

It will be a chessmatch the entire fight... and roy wont be there for bernard to just tee off on at will

on top of the fact that Bernard is already at a 12 month layoff, and hasnt even signed to fight anyone yet... and will be 45 by January...

by november, roy will have had 4 fights in 12 months...


its not a fight where i see a CLEAR and EASY winner...

Roy is afraid to throw when he is in with a good fighter who is his own size and is hitting him. Roy would go to sleep for a 3rd time. If the fight ever happens I will bet all of my points on Roy getting stopped one way or another.

No. and not because hopkins isnt good.. Because the guy is a great fighter. But his style is perfect for Roy to have an easy time with. He doesnt punch alot and put much pressure. Fight likely stays in center of the ring, Roy will have a pot shotting night, easy UD. Once again hopkins is amazing , but Roy has an easy night.. hands are too fast..

I disagree... not an easy night... I think Roy can win the fight... the fighters Roy has trouble with are volume pressure fighters...

and the whole "roy is shot to ****" line is absolute recycled repeated garbage... much past his prime... but only because he was so incredible in his prime, he looks shot now... but hes still a good fighter... just not what he once was...

again i repeat... the 12 going on 15 month layoff by the time hopfights.. at 45 yrs old, is going to make a difference
