plus the fact that VIPs knows somebody that knows somebody that knows Arum and got the tickets prior to public sale.

do you expect VIPs to buy their tickets at ticketmaster.

which may be true...but all im saying is that calling it a sell out is a little extreme...since tickets are not being purchased by "fans"...only a limited amount is released to the general public.

you *****s just admit it. floyd got owned. cant sell tickets.
had to fake the injury and move the fight during mexican festival
and still cant sell the fight. lol pathetic

why wouldnt they sell the tickets if it aint sold yet.
you fu.cking moron, what good would that do to them
        keeping those unsold tickets.
Mayweather is my favorite fighter and marquez is my second fighter but that has nothing to do with what i wrote about...all im saying is what i experience first hand as a ticket seller. I think is weird that everyone is quick to say sell out when in reality the only tickets that are released to the general public is about 40-60 percent of the venue's capacity. My question is what happens to the other tickets because ticketmaster isnt selling them.

Thank u in advance.
"Official sellers"? Are you spinning fables now? Or living in 1997? I guess FMJ-JMM is also "sold out"...right?

          Here's what you do:

          1) go to Google. Or the search engine of your choosing (after all, this is America).

          2) Enter "pacquiao cotto tickets" into the search bar...or any variant thereof

          3) Purchase a ticket from the thousands that are being offered.

          4) Open a beer.

Maybe there are poeople out in this world that are boxing fans and like to watch good fights instead of just rooting for 1 boxer and hanging from their **** all the time and dissing fighters when there is clearly a reason as to why one fight would sell better than another.
did i hurt your feelings? im juz horsing around bro

i understand your logic but what you are viewing is tickets sold on a secondary market, tickets that have already been purchased (and counted as a sold seat) and is being resold to you at a premium price. That is different than selling out from a primary market (ticketmaster, mgm grand box office) who sells tickets at face value plus service charges. These are the only tickets that count towards the actual numbers when a source reports "sold out"

if a broker were to buy all of the tickets to a fight and did not resell any of the tickets the arena would be empty but the figures would still show the event was sold out...now if that happens does that mean that those fighters are a huge draw, i dont because "real fans" did not purchase the tickets....and thats what i saw for the cotto pacman fight. Just about half of the seats were not available to purchase for the general public so what happen to the other tickets...yet you will hear Bob Arum say they sold out in minutes giving the impression that they sold 16k tickets when in reality only a portion of that amount was available.

                  • After a monstrous opening sale, less than 1,000 tickets remain at the 16,200-seat MGM Grand Garden Arena for Top Rank's 'FirePower' Pay Per View featuring Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto.

All of the 9,000 seats at $150, $350 and $500 are completely sold out. The available seats are at the $1,000 and $750 price categories.
                    Arum stated that.
What does he care who he sold them too.
