Cotto has train by himself most of the time since he started boxing, so I dont see it as much of a problem. Once he's in that ring he has some ability to adapt.

      Judah, Quintana, and Mosley fight.

If Manny cant beat a fighter that trains by himself most of the time, then it might be time for him to retire.

      WaR CoTTo!!!

Yeah, I really would have liked him to get Naazim Richardson. but like i said, I think Miguel is kinda set in his style, and maybe getting a trainer he never trained with before might (unsettle) Cotto's foundation of his style, and him trying to fight a different way might *** him up...maybe not.

i just think he's a little to stubborn to make any major changes, and maybe that's why he's not looking for a different trainer. Might be good, might not be...only time will tell. My 2¢.

Cotto has to take this seriously because not only is this the first step to super richness as he'd definitely get bigger shares in all his fights apart from Floyd. (but he'd get big enough bucks from a Floyd fight after this anyway)

Not to mention that he must feel as though he is being underestimated and being used as a pawn in the creation of 'The Legend of Manny'. He has a lot to lose being beaten by a "small guy" would probably make him feel ashamed.

Is Joe Santiago as bad as people say? If yes how good was Evangelista?

I don't think that Cotto really needs a good trainer to win this fight. He's himself disciplined enough and knows what he has to do to win fights. Look at Floyd against Baldomir or at the end of the Judah fight. He handled himself very well and like a real professional used the good plan to win those fights with ease.
