Now his hand is hurt and he is ready to go in Nov. or December the latest. By my count that's one fight that he's actually backed out on, and it was against a guy who he woulda knocked out pretty much for sure, and one guy who almost priced himself outta the fight and now Goosen says may not even accept the postponement date, because why? If Williams wants the belts can't he wait one more month? Oh yeah, the Abraham fight not bein made is a two way street. Arthur left the middleweight division, not Kelly. And before he did, he didn't have a single middleweight fight in the U.S. to make a name for himself, something Arum insisted on before the fight went down. He fought Miranda above MW. That was the only attempt at making a name. Ask even the average boxing fan in this country and they still don't know who he is. Is that Kelly Pavlik's fault too? The hate on here flows one direction lately.
His hand is not hurt. It's his finger. So I guess when you hurt your finger you can't train for months at a time.

usually when a fighter INSISTS on having rematch clauses in contracts, they know the deal....

And didn't Pavlik and Lowe come out and say that Pav's hand was fine after they called off the Mora fight?

I think what is highly possible is that Arum convinced Pavlik to pull out of this fight by offering more money for Pavlik to fight a ham and egger. I wouldn't put it past that snake at all. I understand that him and Haymon don't get along that well. But damn it, this fight is a ****ing match up and it needs to go down. People need to remember how desperate Arum was to try to stop the Margarito-Williams fight from happening. He went as far as to take Margarito to court and sue him for breach of contract. The sooner Arum dies off, the better boxing will become. I don't really care for Haymon either, but I know that Arum views this as a bad match up for his boy and he doesn't want to see his cash cow lose to a fighter that is promoted by his arch enemy.

            Pavlik will destroy in style

Everyone will get back on the bandwagon once the punisher gets punished and is layed out on the canvass in the corner.

Never doubt the heart of a champion with a killer straight right.

            Mark my words!!

People need to realize that it is Pavlik with something to prove here and not Williams. Paul went on to avenge his loss to Quintana even though the second fight was more warranted than a Pavlik-Hopkins rematch is. And people who discredit Paul's wins over Phillips and Winky need to evaluate the victories a little bit better. Phillips had never been stopped since the late 1980s and nobody had ever dominated Winky Wright like that except maybe Julio Caesar Vasquez. I'd say those victories are a lot more impressive than wins over Lockett and Rubio. If Pavlik doesn't take a competitive fight by the end of the year, I am done with him even though I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt these last couple weeks because it seemed like he was being reasonable in the negotiations of this fight with Williams.
