i'm not saying stay in the pocket with rafael but he didn't have to run so much.

it pissed me off 'cause i like the kid.

he did the right thing of not going toe to toe but like i said he went overboard on the backwards movement.

jab , jab. move to the side and make rafael reset.

when rafael resets , throw a right or a combo and then move again.

that's all he needed to do.

rafael would still have a hard time finding him AND nonito would have also been more offensive at the same time.

i don't have a problem with using movement and boxing instead of slugging it out BUT movement has to have a purpose.

use movement to make the guy miss and to put yourself in an advantageous position.

i hate it when boxers just move for the sake of moving.

His left hand was low the entire fight, and his reflexes are not to the point where he can just use head movement and come out of nowhere fight some straight right hand.

Conception was open all night for the same right hand everytime he walked in, jab or not, and Donaire just stared at him half the time running around occasionally throwing an uppercut.

Dumbazz mario lopez talking about "Hes so gifted like jones jr he can rely on reflexes"

Thats bull****, if he did that against darchinyan hed be laying on the canvas like an infantile ******, he got to this stage using his excellent abilities as a boxer puncher as opposed to doing his best mayweather impersonation (without the defense).

I really hope he retools and rethinks that last fight, becuz conception is NOT that good to be giving him a hard fight like he did.
LOL, its Darchinyan, even a less skilled boxer such as Agbeko beat him. Nonito will KO him again or win by wide UD.

This thread is about his performance and him moving up in weight is not pertinent to that. He didint have to drain as much this time, Donaire looked bigger than concepcion in there, thats undeniable.
Nonito was throwing counterpunches and combinations in the 1st round that rocked Concepcion's world. If he had been on weight he would have been dropped. Instead the extra weight Concepcion had broke Donaire's hand and that's what made him get on his bike and potshot.

Cmon man...Donaire was essentially fighting a featherweight on fight night.

The reason Donaire was doing that he probalby knew that he couldn't KO Concepcion. Donaire was landing some good shots but couldn't even put him on the floor. Because he looks sloppy last night doesn't mean his gonna be like that with Darchinyan or any other fighter.

                      That isnt my point.

My point was that solid fundamentals got him where he is today, solid fundamentals got him the vicious knockout of darchinyan. Against Concepcion he showed none of that and fought a ****** fight in a lackluster performance. Fighting like that against darchinyan back in 07 would have landed his ass on the canvas was my point. It was as if he thought he was going to blast this guy in 3 and be done with it and he just kept coming. Thats why i said that.
