A part of me is not at all convinced that Margo cheated in that fight against Cotto. If you listen to Luis Resto describe how he fought Collins you would hear him say that he was throwing no body punches at all because he wanted to keep doing damage to his face. There have been plenty of fighters with messed up faces in fights of where there was no cheating going on that we know of. How about Israel Vasquez in the third fight with Rafa Marquez? I think Cotto's facial damage happened because as the fight went on he became a stationary target due to fatigue and Margarito took advantage of that. He landed good body shots on Cotto and it paid dividends.

Yup. Who's to say he cheated in that fight and not his fight against Cintron? Or Golden Johnson? His loss to Paul Williams? His 1999 fight with Sergio Martinez? We don't know for sure if cheated in any of them and if he did which fights. We can't give everybody or one individual the benefit of the doubt.

margarito would of won even if he didnt use the crooked wrapps,cotto hit him with everything..margaritos jaw was made out of stone that night,i was shocked seein him recieve all them punches and not going down and thats what broke down cotto mentally and physicly,he couldnt understand how margarito was able to take all those punches.As we all know there was no plaster on margaritos jaw..margarito won fair and square!!!!!!!

It was never officially proven that Marg used plaster on Cotto. Innocent until proven guilty, not the opposite. Cotto lost to Margarito.
