If PBF/JMM is a mismatch, then PBF/PAC is one to.

co sign... its the fact that manny has proven himself above lightweight... starching oscar at 147 and annhilating hatton at 140... he has at least proven he can handle the higher weight.

JMM has never been above 135... and not only are they not fighting at 140... but theyre fighting at 144...

TBH I don't think we'll even learn much from with regards to JMM's effectiveness at higher weights from his fight against PBF, because regardless of weight PBF is a different animal to any other fighter in the game at the moment (or at least was before retirement).

For all we know PBF could destroy both JMM and Pac and JMM might fight on at 140 and beat some of the best there convincingly all that would prove is just how great PBF is. I think the Floyd we'll see in the ring vs JMM is gonna be out to prove a point, which could incidentally be his downfall as he tries too hard to impress he just needs to keep his emotions in check because we all know that Floyd catches feelings big time when it comes to people not giving him credit and love he feels he deserves.

        Says you.

Boxrec says otherwise, and we all know the judge ****ed up in the first fight and Pac should have gotten that decision.

JMM should try staying on his feet next time they fight, then maybe he'll win.

I don't think when people talk about size they mean height, reach, etc. they mean the weight...

Yes, Floyd will only outweigh him by 4-5 pounds on fight night judging by what both guys did in previous fights but nonetheless JMM is still untested at 135+, there is nothing to prove he will do bad at the weight but there is nothing to disregard it either... the weight might have effect on JMM cause it is a new weight class he hasn't fought at... the only way we can tell is on fight night and if it does effect JMM, we will definitley be able to see it, if not then we will know its not.

That's the way people are looking at it really, and even though I am a big fan of Floyd as a fighter I can't blame them because to be fair it is a good argument to make, if it was ****** and pointless I would disagree but some people are making a little bit of sense about this fight regarding the weight.

To be fair he did say arguably... meaning, some people can argue that they thought JMM got the decision... which they can it was a very close fight, but because of it being a close fight neither guy was robbed, I can't disagree with Pacquiao getting the decision it was a close fight and the first one I can't blame being a draw cause that was also close.

Even that argument is flawed. How many times have you heard PBF is not suppoesed to be at WW? Or that he should just go back down to JWW where he belongs. Is he not the smallest WW in the division? Weight is never an issue when he fights anyone 10,15 pounds heavier than him. But when hes the larger than his opponent he instally becomes a bully and will only win because he is bigger.

People are very hypocritical when it comes to Floyd, just brush it off and hijack threads, i view him as the best fighter on the planet and a ****in genius and i'm right as always

                  The fights aren't really comparable.

Pac/PBF is fairer because Pac is naturally bigger than JMM and has fought as high as 147. JMM hasn't fought above 135 yet and doesn't really have the frame to go as high as 144-147.

People will discredit Floyds wins over Oscar and Hatton because of how Manny beat them. If Floyd beats JMM more impressive nobody will say anything like that for Manny.

Pac is an easier fight for Floyd. Pac has had fights at 135, 147, and 140, but the guys he fought were there to be hit. Diaz stood right in front of Pac and ate leather all night til he finally got dropped. DLH was too drained to do anything and got pummeled into submission. Hatton rushed in with his hands down and paid for it.

Last time Pac fought a boxer/counter puncher (who was about the same size on the day of the fight and much older) he wasn't so impressive. I'll leave it at that. Floyd is naturally bigger and the age difference is not as significant. I don't see how Pacquiao has a chance at beating Floyd, barring a bogus decision victory.
