Miguel A. Cotto really IS the boxing's whipping boy!

I like Miguel, but you're just riding him now. Jukko and Bazan? Really? Sure, they had more experience but they just plainly weren't on Miguel's level- despite his inexperience. Bazan had been beat to **** by Castillo a year or so earlier if I recall and then lost his comeback fight to boot- so Miguel's handlers were giving him an experience opponent that had shown he was having problems and was beatable.

Jukko? He was coming off a loss, too, right? AND he'd been knocked out before by both Floyd and Corrales. When you put a young fighter in, slowly, sometimes you give him grizzled veterans that have been exposed as not having the ability to rise higher than gate-keeper. Jukko and Bazan might have had more fights, but both were coming off losses, and had been stopped, so Miguel's people weren't throwing him in with lions a la Vargas style, just to quickly get him to the top.

I love Cotto, but don't get it twisted. He's been HBO's baby for awhile and it's taken a slight hit since the Margarito loss. That's all.
